"This restaurant in London consistently serves fresh and delicious sushi at a fraction of the price of Nobu. It is truly a hidden gem and offers quality sushi that rivals that of Nobu."

"I’ve been in a Japanese sort of mood recently and have visited a few places around town, but sometimes your old reliable sushi haunt is still the best. For me, that’s a small neighbourhood restaurant right next to Bermondsey underground station, an odd place for a sushi joint but nonetheless a good one. Enter Poppy Hana The interior is red and black and atmospheric and makes even going to a neighbourhood joint feel special. The seared salmon tataki is fabulous – if all salad leaves were dressed with this dressing, we’d all be a lot healthier. The soft shell crab rolls are my favourite – and I’ve ordered both the Temaki hand roll and the normal sushi rolls. The crab is...read more"

"as my favorite sushi place I was on the top of my list. Eating and presentation was amazing as they would expect. the staff was very friendly and friendly. tried oolong tee for the first time, which was actually delicious. my only criticism is that there is too much on the menu! it is impossible to choose! I have to come back so I can try everything. Luckily, it is also not forbiding expensive, so it is worth traveling the miles. very happy (very filled luncher."

"Is it 2.5 stars or 3 hmm..I guess that 3 'll have to do as 2 's too few eh.. I guess Sunday wasn 't my day as sadly Nanakusa didn 't stop the rot. I 've eaten at their sister restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed it, so I was hoping for more of the same, but sadly found this to be quite a bland experience. I ordered 3 small plates, the agadashi dofu, sweet potato makimono seaweed salad. While the dishes came quickly were presented well, the execution wasn 't great and the flavours were well.. meh. I went for the makimono first found the sushi rice so soft, it was like I was biting into a food cloud, but then the filling didn 't really taste of anything was crispy.. Now I quite like food that makes your palate jump, whether it 's contrasting flavours, heat or texture, but if this soft outer vs crispy inside was intentional, I fear I missed the point. Instead of oooh interesting! my brain was thinking uhh what.. Next up I went for the seaweed salad, which was alright at first as I was eating mostly seaweed a little iceberg lettuce, but the more I dug, the more I realised it was 80% iceberg, which isn 't what I ordered sir! Add to that a general lack of flavour bar the umami of the seaweed and soy, there wasn 't any acid or sweetness to balance it out. Lastly there was the agadashi dofu, which having recently called off hostilities with soy, I was really looking forward to. It was lightly fried, leaving the inside almost uncooked, and served in a soy based, tempura dressing. Sadly the lack of spring onions meant that there was nothing to counter the soy because of the softness of the dofu light tempura batter it all just fell apart after sitting in the sauce. I 'm really not sure about the decor, it seems to be part traditional part modern Japanese set within a beautifully corniced old building. The changing lights were kinda fun in a modern way, but set amongst the wooden panelling they seemed somewhat out of place. Not to begin end on a moan, the staff were really efficient friendly despite it being a quiet Sunday night. I was given plenty of time to peruse the menu afterwards the service was swift friendly. It 's a shame that this occasion didn 't live up to expectation. I 've heard people say a lot of good things about Nanakusa, maybe I just made the wrong choices or it was an off night. I 'd go back, but there are many more places higher up the list to try before I consider another sitting at Nanakusa, shame really.."

"I have discovered some of the best Japanese food in London at this restaurant! The dishes are fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. I will definitely return in the future!"

"I love Yuma's sushi platters. The salmon nigiri is compact and a delicious mouthful. The maki are very nicely put together and it always comes with generous helpings of gari ginger and wasabi. I love this sushi place and would recommend to anyone who wants some Japanese cuisine."

"When I was invited to review Murakami I spent some time trying to work out why I thought I’d been there before. That sense of deja vu came not from a restaurant but from a series of books which I have sitting on my shelf including ‘The Wind Up Bird Chronicle’ and ‘Kafka on the Shore’. In fact, the restaurant is intended to be an Izakaya, a kind of Japanese gastro-pub where you can eat and drink in a relatively informal setting. And, in the heart of London, at the top of St Martin’s Lane, that is no bad thing."

"I felt strongly enough to edit my first review. Change of ownership, who knows....., but something has changed. Poor, surly service from a Japanese woman miserably sitting on her mac in the corner while an attentive, pleasant waitress tried to go about her work. All gyoza's i ordered were not available. The one is did i knew well AS I BUY IT FROM THE CHINESE SUPERMARKET and its cooked from frozen. Its a bit demoralising paying £2.50 for 5 of something when you know a giant bag costs a fiver!!! Miso soup was good again. Noodle dish was'nt great but above all attitude from the Japanese woman truly stunk. I shall not be returning until i've heard that its changed. OLD REVIEW Ordered a takeaway for 2 4. The miso soup was good (and i make my own miso soup and the sushi was decent enough. Its a nice little place and it helps to support your local business. The gyozo (a? japanese dumplings were good. I would go back here again but i do think that when its busy, you could be waiting a little bit. You'd expect that of a reasonably small place though."

"My partner and I dined at this restaurant a few weeks ago and enjoyed our meal so much that we decided to return. However, this time, two orders of the green Thai chicken curry were too spicy to eat. It would be helpful to communicate how spicy or mild you prefer your curry. Despite this, we still had a pleasant evening with attentive staff. It might be a good idea for the kitchen to check on the spiciness level of dishes before serving them."

"So sorry but I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. There was no ambiance as there was only one other table of people and it was also cold. The food was not great and the the bill made it feel worse as it was expensive, very overpriced, and we were paying too much for poor food. Sorry!"

"I don't have a problem with sushi, although it does tend to fill me up quickly. The best part is making a pile of empty plates on the conveyor belt when I'm craving tuna. Yes, I would recommend it."

"I discovered this restaurant through tripadvisors, and since then we have become regulars. The staff is really nice, the food always tastes amazing and fresh, there is a great selection, I love it! Favourites are the boneless ribs for a grill (you can make it at the table just like in Korea), kimchi, spicy edamame, sunflower roll, philadelphia roll, rainbow roll probably many more I can't think of rn! For sushi authentic Korean food it has a very reasonable price on top of everything. Love love love it, I could eat here every second day!!!"

"This small and humble sushi bar has amazing, freshly prepared and beautifully presented sushi. It is mainly for takeout, but you can sit on window stools or at the bar stools and watch the world go by. Much better than supermarket prepacked sushi, and lots of variety. It would have been a 5-star review, but we have been disappointed a couple of times, finding it closed. We understand that the chef is the creative and hardworking genius behind the sushi bar, so if he is sick and needs a day off, there is no one to replace him. It's a shame, but he takes pride in what he does, and deserves his great reputation."

"Hands down the best sushi in Bournemouth! Been searching for the longest time for great sushi at a reasonable price in this area this is finally it! Great selection of a variety of rolls and sides. Friendly and attentive staff, and a nice urban/chill restaurant atmosphere. Prices are really good for the amount and high quality of sushi you get, way more reasonable than Yo Sushi or similar chains. Our favourite is the Ebi Tempura Roll. This is sure to be your go to sushi spot from now on!"

"I recently visited a quaint sushi restaurant in the city. The sashimi and sushi were incredibly fresh and delicious. I appreciated the small fusion twist in some of the sushi dishes, which added to the overall experience. The service was exceptional and the atmosphere was just right for a nice meal. Currently, there was only one option available on the menu at the time of my visit, but it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place for a quality sushi dining experience."
