"I enjoyed Umu. My experience of Sushi to date has been primarily high street chains so I was keen to see and taste what difference a top notch Sushi restaurant could make. I wasn’t disappointed. The food is of the highest quality and immaculately presented. The restaurant itself is quiet and quite intimate and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Two reasons for not giving it 5 stars though. One was the building work going on next door which made it impossible to hear each other. To their credit they did go and have a word and it stopped after 10 minutes. The bigger issue though was the price. We did have the taster menu and the wine flight but the total bill was £2200 for 4 of us. Good though the food was, I don’t feel the price was justified."

"When going to a 2 Michelin Star restaurant, you expect to have a spectacular experience. This was alarmingly not the case. The food was outrageously over priced. We had to run to the restroom at one point to spit out bad fish. The only saving grace here was the sommelier he was spectacular."
