"We visited on a Friday night an opted for the tasting menu, with wine pairings. While the first course of Gressingham duck was a bit boring, things really picked up from there. The scallop dish combined really well with the lentils, and the following john dory and venison courses were both excellent. The cheese mousse course was an interesting mix of sweet and savoury. We tried the chocolate pear and the Hokey Pokey desserts, and both were excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. The bill for two came to £385, half of which was spent on drinks. In my opinion, this place is hitting a 2-Michelin star level in terms of food, and in that context the tasting menu priced at £85 is relatively good value. Definitely worth a visit."
