"We had a lovely welcome and enjoyed the good atmosphere at this restaurant. Choosing what to eat and drink was a bit challenging, but in a positive way. They had an extensive list of craft beers, as well as a great selection of gins and wines. The pizzas we saw being delivered to another table looked very authentic, with a thin base that was puffed up around the edges. We decided to skip starters and go straight for two pizzas and two pastas for our main courses. Everything was tasty, well cooked, and nicely presented. We tried the Wind Surf and Sea Club 4.5% DDH Pale beer, which was clean, sharp, and fruity. The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. The only downside was that the toilets were downstairs, which could be an issue for those with mobility problems. We will definitely be returning next time we are in York."
