"My husband and I came here after passing it on the way home and after visiting many years ago decided try again. The service was brilliant, very friendly staff. Food was fresh and tasty, best onion bhajis I've ever tasted!! and the peshwari Naan was particularly yummy. They Don't serve alcohol but we didn't mind at all as you can bring your own if you wish, we ordered a couple of cokes which were a bargain at £1 a can! We ordered from there special offer which was a 3 course for £11.95, what a bargain! Also FREE popadums, so what more can you ask for?? We will definitely be returning and be bringing our friends... :"

"The presentation and packaging of the food is excellent, probably one of the best I’ve seen. However the quality and taste of the food is very bad not authentic at all. I ordered the fish madras and fish masala. The fish madras tasted very tomatoey like they just poured a whole tin of tomatoes with no spice or flavour, tasted more like a stew. The fish masala was basically like eating a desert, basically a ton of sugar and thick creamy coconut. I think they cater to a certain type of demographic"

"I ordered her to eat and her curry is exquisite. the shop hat is great and a little biased to East Africans, to their gunst; they get discounted, but as long as they are from South Africa, they would not be interested much aha. I ordered there twice actually and both male the eating was great, although their portions must be a bit fair, especially their rice for it is not cheap so it should be a kind of equal weight. I love this place and I recommend it for everyone who likes Indian food."

"Yesterday we decided to give the New Gulistan a try and placed an order at 5.10 for a set meal for 2..We patiently waited until 6.20 and then my husband called to cancel the delivery only to be told it had already left and was on its way. At 6.50 after it had been cancelled,the delivery guy knocked at the door with the food, which had to be freezing cold after being driven all around for more than half an hour.We live 600 meters away from the restaurant. Disappointed is an understatement, we heard good things and now well never get to try it."

"Visited here Friday night for a hen weekend. We chose here as the menu had a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. Unfortunately it was a huge dissapointment. Not only was the server rude and seemingly didn’t know what she was doing. We had hair or the naan breads. We didn’t even get a sorry until we actually asked for an apology. The only thing we got in return was the one naan taken off our bill. So for us, we paid a fortune for our meal that was inedible due to poor hygeine in the kitchen and the staff didn’t seem to know what they were doing."

Generally not a problem to find somewhere to park, or fairly easy walk from anywhere in Patchway/Charlton Hayes. Really good food, we're blessed in this area (so long as you like Indian food! ."
