"We chose to dine in, it had seating but it's predominantly a take-away service so there were three tables to choose from. The service was quick and polite, with food being freshly made. We arrived not long after Umami opened, so the staff serving made sure the table we at was wiped down and clean for us. The food was said to be out roughly 15 minutes from ordering but it came out quicker than that. My sister ordered teriyaki tofu bento with duck oishi steamed buns (eyes bigger than her belly! Whilst I had tempura aubergine with vegetable gyoza. My sister enjoyed the bento buns, flavouring was lovely, generous amount of everything! She almost fell in love with the buns after one bite and her inner gollum came out. The tempura was very hot, but light enough to not feel stuffed as was the gyoza, pleasant and definitely able to enjoy everything. Vegetarian options: There was plenty to decide from regarding the vegetarian choices, from each section there was at least one choice to have Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Vegetable Tempura Recommendation for vegetarians: Somewhat recommend Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection"

"Great casual place to sit down and eat at lunch on Exmouth Market. Presentation of food was great and it was quite big portions so it was filling. Had the choice of brown or white rice with the lunch set. Pot of tea was a bit pricey but tasted good."

"The environment was wonderful and staff were friendly and polite. I visited with my mother and they were kind enough to take a picture of us on my phone. The red bean starter was very tasty but the lamb curry main was disappointing. For our palette it lacked flavour and was bland, there were only 3 small pieces of lamb on each plate and too many slices of potato in a watery stew. Next time I will try something else as you can't please all the people all the time. It is still very much worth a visit."

"This is an overview of 2 month 's worth of visits. Food 5* Jellof Rice Okay, so I very rarely order and eat jellof rice because from my experience it 's notoriously rare to get tasty and authentic tasting jellof rice. Having been to A.G.G. a few times and the jellof rice was 'hit miss ' of very authentic Nigerian tasting jellof, to just ok jellof, over the last week (possibly two), it 's been all hit and no miss. It 's also gone down as the best jellof rice I 've had in the UK. Seafood okra: Much as I didn 't eat this but ordered it for family, they raved so much about I wished I did like okra! In their words (and they 're very difficult to please), it was outstanding! Nuff said! Egusi and Efo riro: I 'm not a fan of white Egusi (which they serve) so tend to mix it with efo riro. I placed an order of both and my goodness, it was 'Yoruba ' cooking in mouth! Difficult to explain and can only be understood when you 've eaten authentic Yoruba food in Nigeria. Only niggle but not major, is the use of spinach rather than callaloo greens (don 't know the Nigerian veg name) for efo. Goat meat: The goat meat is not only tasty but has that goaty taste I love. The portion I bought was freshly prepared and though I was meant to travel with it, I went from taste to empty plate! Ewa Agoyin: You just have to try it! Indescribable! Service 5* So far, I 've not had a poor service experience. All the staff have been and are courteous and helpful, though some more than others (I wish I remember their names the lovely lady with the daughter that work there, the young lad, and the Italian Nigerian girl). Yes, it can take a while to order due to the queues and waiting, but in my view, that validates the quality and authenticity of the food, otherwise it 'll have much less visits and queues. My hope is that I 'm not terribly disappointed in future. Ambiance 3.5* This isn 't a negative as it 's always spotlessly clean which is the priority really. However, for dining in, it is basic, and with the queues often crowded with students and professionals alike. Definitely my go to place when I crave Nigerian meals at the moment, and saves me the trip to London for a good Nigerian meal!"

" dining options scattered throughout the shopping center. One such option is Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse, a lively and colorful restaurant located on the ground floor. The vibrant atmosphere is complemented by the bold and flavorful Caribbean dishes on the menu. From jerk chicken to curried goat, each dish is packed with authentic island ingredients and spices. The service is friendly and efficient, making for a pleasant dining experience. Overall, Levi Roots Caribbean Smokehouse is a great choice for those looking to enjoy a taste of the Caribbean in the heart of East London."

"This restaurant offered an authentic experience of sub-continental cuisine. The venture is very enterprising located in NESCOT. Everything is new and very clean. There is a good choice of dishes although on our visit the two dishes my son asked for were not available. I had a sizzling tikka dish of chicken lamb chop and fish which was very good accompanied with an exceptional vegetable curry with nine different vegetables. My son enjoyed his chicken tikka masala . Naan bread and a chapati were of a high standard. The service was a bit slow but it is a training ground for youngsters making their way in the catering industry."

"we were here twice before pandemic. they had fantastic menus, authentic and coworkers explained what the different tapas etc. were. this time the menu was different, no tapas . the personal had no idea what the menu is from when we asked. we ordered some exotic looking starters specified ‘root etc.’ that was fried petersnips and some other “exotic” main search where the personal did not explain what it was. it turned out to be a bowl of dry rice with mixed cheap seafood. bill came too high for what they had in a ground in a pub, with people who scream, seems to have a fight. no disrespect, but we still had quite different experiences and I traveled about how amazing it was for everyone I know! absolutely shocked as it has changed recently. will not go back."
