"This is a real neighbourhood gem. Priced very competitively for its position on Motcombe Street, the menu is varied, priced extremely keenly and changed very frequently. The food is delicious with speedy and attentive service. The wine list sports some very decent examples at a very fair price. Sunday lunch is available for two for under £30 and this too is stunningly good value and exceptionally tasty when we tried it. We are frequent but irregular diners at Motcombes and will continue to be. Its a lovely cosy place and the downstairs dining room (weekdays only) is particularly impressive."

"We had a wonderful afternoon tea the food was lovely the room and decor was beautiful however although the service was ok we were left alone for long periods of time , we had to ask for additional cups and hot water for the teas we were never asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything the only attention we had was making sure the 2 additional coffees were paid for! We had to ask for take home boxes. And for the box for the cake that was gifted to my Mum overall it was below average sorry"

"what a beautiful surprise to come on a trip in london over baker and spice. very friendly staff and great service. I had the thunfish and my partner had the steak, both were delicious. very recommend the wine, a large selection of natural weeping that were delicious. will soon be back when we visit next in london"

"The restaurant has a wheelchair accessible entrance, but the door is heavy. I had to wait for 10 minutes as all the top tables were reserved, but the server quickly explained the delay. There were two friendly front of house servers who were courteous and sanitized the tables between customers. I could see behind the counter from my table and watched a young lady making drinks and returning milk to the refrigerator. My drink and cake arrived promptly. The carrot cake was filled with nuts and had a delicious frosting. The hot chocolate had a balance between milk and dark chocolate, giving it a strong flavor. Despite the cold temperature outside, the inside of the restaurant did not feel too warm."

"I have just had the best fish, chips, mushy peas and gravy in a long time. The fish was lightly battered and was absolutely delicious. They arrived on time and ready to eat. I have given 5 stars but they were without a doubt worthy of 10 stars. Thank you Clifton Fish Bar and I look forward to my next meal."
