"We were visiting Harrogate for my fiancée 's birthday but unfortunately Haks (our favourite Chinese was closed for the week. I saw that the Cambridge Café had good feedback so we took a stroll up there. We got there at 6pm. There was a man and a woman inside who were obviously the owners and their kids were sat at a table eating. The door however had closed written on it and that they were only taking Just Eat orders. We walked back to our apartment, also passing another Chinese takeaway called Rice . I thought about ordering from the latter, but decided to get back and get a meal delivered from Cambridge Café. Firstly I thought the layout of the dishes being within subsections on the menu was cumbersome and silly. We ordered prawn crackers, prawn toast (they don 't do seaweed?! , spring rolls, noodles, egg fried rice, chicken curry and sweet and sour chicken. The prawn crackers are supposedly quality Vietnamese ones that, in reality taste like all the others we have had! I absolutely loved the prawn toast but my fiancée wasn 't a fan. They were chunky and flavoursome. Veggie spring rolls were bland and tasteless, noodles and rice were OK. The sweet and sour chicken was very nice. I found the chicken curry a bit weak, it tasted dumbed down. Overall it was a fairly average meal with the prawn toast for me being a surprise highlight. On reflection however we would not eat from there again as better alternatives are available."

"Upon entering the resto we were ushered to our seat quickly the place was packed as it was on a sunday evening. Menus were handed out and they took our orders. I honestly felt rushed when we were ordering because the man who took our orders wasn 't smiling at all. Anyway, after maybe around 5 minutes, our freshly cooked meals arrived which is quite impressive considering how busy the place was! The spicy pork belly has the right amount of spiciness and the noodle soup tasted authentic with its generous amount of dumplings. Also, the rice noodle was also so good, I could taste the wok used to cook it which is a great plus. One could easily know that they used fresh ingredients in preparing their products. I must admit that the quality and taste of food being served here was better than by those from their neighbouring restaurants. Furthermore, the ambiance is typical of most Chinese restos I 've been to. Tight spaces with just enough room to eat comfortably. The only problem I encountered though was the men 's toilet. It was very pungent and I was like inhaling vapor made up of urine. I was actually using a mask that time but it was so strong that the scent penetrated through it. Have I not been in dire need of the loo, I wouldn 't have used their toilet. Food Ambiance Service Price Toilet PS. From now on, I will start to rate establishments as a whole to help them see what they don 't usually see and eventually might help them improve and be the best they could be."
