Requested to move which we did but why place us there as though our booking had been forgotten? Otherwise an enjoyable meal with friendly, attentive service."

"We frequent this restaurant often. This week, the fish and chips were excellent and the sea bass was delicious. Both dishes were served piping hot. However, some of my medallions were cold and there was a skin on the sauce. I returned the dish and spoke to the Manager, who explained that the food was cooked to the proper temperature but had sat on the pass for too long."

"Hanoi Cafe is quite under rated. It doesn't stand out from the rest. It was recommended on my recent trip to London by a French girl we just met who eats there often. It has a homely setup and nothing too fancy. The menu is quite extensive and there should be something for everyone. I ordered a hot prawn dish (discovered afterwards the rice was charged separately). I could definitely taste the chili in it, which was prefect for the cold night. "It’s the second time I came to Nem Nem and service /food have gone downhill like a Chinese rocket. The place was empty and they didn’t serve cocktails (they could have informed us beforehand! . The waiter cleared our table without checking if we had finished (and no we haven’t finished our food!!!! ! That was simply rude and unprofessional esp the restaurant wasn’t busy and it’s not like we are hanging around for 3hrs. There are plenty of authentic Vietnamese restaurants in shoreditch at much better value. I can only wish them luck."

"I have tried several of the noodle boxes to take away the honey lemon grass chicken with shredded lettuce, cucumber, red chill and coriander is lovely. It gets very busy at lunchtime. The only downside is the woman server who never, ever cracks a smile, and the only thing she ever says is to sell you a drink, too. Rest of the staff are friendly."
