"we went early evening and the restaurant was quite the waitress was polite and served drinks quickly and our order taken, unfortunately the food served was not good mostly bland and missing content to the example the pizza of my wife should come with olives, but they were very tight and the vater in the sit lammschaft saw more like a chicken drumstick. the restaurant became more busy and it was still minimal staff that made order more drinks impossible, then a long wait for the bill added to the disappointment"

"this is a popular restaurant with my family because we know that it likes the vegan, vegetarian and omnis. the rustic pizza here is incredible, a crisp, delicate chest loaded with super delicious toppings. zizzi not only plonk veggies on teig and call it the vegan pizza, they will dinge like artichoke, oliven, vegan pfefferoni and more. the dessert we had was also incredible, although very rich and sweet. I could never manage the full 3 cursor meal, so ended up with a few home; breakfast pizza! I would say that on the set menu we had, there was only a vegan option for a starter and it was somehow meh', tomaten bruschetta. But if that's so good, it doesn't matter if the starter was just a warm up. the dessert was very tasty, but on too sweet though a child would probably love it. it was also quite obviously not fresh, as mine had a dense, from where it was beaten into the freezer. I would expect this to be quite normal for a chain restaurant, but I don't mind! the personal here is really warm and accumic, we had a nice chat with our waitress and she seemed like a very real person! updated by the previous review on 2021-11-19"

"I was not sure to eat here because I previously visited the Romford industry, where eating was less than average and the service was terrible and it was not even busy. I am very pleased that we have received excellent service from the minute we went. it was pretty busy, but nothing was too much for our waitress lumi. the food was excellent, delicious, fresh and hot. lumi was very helpful and knowledgeable when asked for items in the menu that made my decision much easier. I especially enjoyed the passion fruitini cocktail at the end of our meal. we would definitely recommend this zizzi and will return very soon. keep the good workers up."

"This restaurant has a reputation for being affordable, which may conjure some negative perceptions. I used to frequent the branch near Warren Street and recently visited this location for a quick meal. The prices are very reasonable, with a 12-inch thin-crust pizza costing less than £10. The dining area is small and simple, with no table service. However, the pizza rivals some of the best Italian restaurants I have visited, such as Alfresco in Whetstone, London. The fresh and tasty ingredients create an enticing aroma that will make your mouth water. While they also offer salads and other extras, the pizza is the star of the show here. Despite the low prices, the quality is not compromised. They also make a great espresso for a perfect ending to your meal."

"Hi all, For having lived at Boswell court a couple of years in my university days, i can tell you La Porchetta, the smallest of places hidden in the backstreets of Holborn, will not disappoint. This one of three La porchetta restaurants in London is the least famous of all. Not sure it deserves such a non-reputation. More than once La porchetta has saved my night with solid take away pizza. Typically the difference in London pizza is the base. La porchetta seems to have got it right. While their pizza choice is fairly unsurprising, the restaurant sticks to a classic italian base, fresh ingredients and nicely sized pizzas. I haven't personally tried any other dish from La porchetta....read more"

"I like the atmosphere that all workers create before they from the waiter to the manager, to the chefs, absolutely wonderful; eating is so good, it is a thru Italian kitchen: simple and full taste; I just love going there, each apology is good to go there with friends or family. I am Italian and I cannot find another Italian restaurant that represents the Italian cuisine equally well."

"If you want to go for a nice cocktail this is not the place to go I’m sorry. I drunk it because I’m the type of person that it doesn’t complain but this “Mai tai” was an orange juice with ice and some foam. My husband had complained about his drink as he want having it. We live at Pan peninsula so we were giving it a try but after this definitely not coming back. I give it two starts because of the service the waiter was amazing and kind however the bar staff wasn’t really fiendly"

"We were looking for a quick meal near the Millennium Centre before the opera, and Italian cuisine seemed like a good choice. The restaurant is spacious and bright, and during the early evening, it's a popular spot for young families. Since we were aware of our time constraint, we opted for pasta, and our waitress kindly reminded us that we needed to eat quickly. Our meals—Pasta della Casa and Crab Cannelloni—arrived promptly and were both delightful. The house pasta, which featured baked cassareccia, roasted chicken, pancetta, baby spinach, and a creamy sauce topped with Reggiano cheese, was rich and satisfying. The cannelloni turned out to be a lighter yet equally delicious option. While Zizzi isn’t a fine dining establishment, it’s perfect for a quick bite or a casual meal. Plus, it offers stunning views of Cardiff Bay, and its proximity to the Millennium Centre makes it an ideal spot for a pre-show dinner."

"Ed was out waiter for the evening, and I would just like to say that this very kind and polite young man made our evening magical. Ed was faultless throughout our experience here at Zizzi’s, given our experience we received we will definitely be coming back to see Ed again in the future."

"The lady at front of house had a terrible attitude. Previous to booking through opentable I asked in person if I could book a table for, NO, NO bookings. I couldn’t even finish my sentence before she rudely shut me down. So I hopped on to Opentable where I could indeed book. I received my notification via email and turned up for my booking 1.5 hours after booking through the app. I was greeted again by the same terrible service by the same terrible woman. Rolling her eyes and saying no I have no booking. You are too early. We do not have it on our system. You will have to come back in 15 minutes. Incidentally the table we were eventually sat down at was free when we arrived for our assigned booking as I had saw it empty through the window when we turned up for our scheduled booking. A terrible start to what was otherwise a nice meal with tasty food and a fabulous dessert."

"VISIT DATE: 01/06/2024 VISIT TIME: 18:00 20:30 Visited this branch of Zizzi as a get together of colleagues from my work Christian staff network. There were 9 of us in total and the restaurant was easily able to accommodate us as it had ample seating. The food is standard for Zizzi pizza, pasta and other options, all very nicely prepared, but portion sizes are not generous and I find their pizza and pasta fairly bland, so I went for the pork belly with hot honey glaze, starved with potatoes and green beans, which was really nice, but I could definitely have done with more potatoes! For dessert I enjoyed the caramel cheesecake and I also had a passion fruit mocktail, which was nice. Plus points: Service was prompt and staff were attentive. Large number of tables so can accommodate large groups. Kids options available. Accessible entry and accessible toilet, with baby change. Negatives: Accoustics not great so was hard to hear people clearly at times. Regular toilets down a reasonable number of stairs and, due to lighting choices, looked kinda dingey."

"Had breakfast at Gastronomica in Pimlico, a cafe/deli that advertises itself quite rightly as Piemonte in Pimlico. Actually Gastronomica is a lot more that just this one cafe/deli. They have several market stalls (including one at Borough Market) and another couple of cafes in Wapping and Manchester as well as a wholesale food business. The cafe in the heart of Pimlico is not that pretty from the outside, as it is located in an unattractive red brick block of shops behind a rather garish red awning. Inside it is much more attractive, the Cafe area consists of a couple of large wooden tables and a few smaller ones, surrounded by shelves of Italian Wine and cabinets full of wonderful meats and cheese. The menu is quite small, mainly Italian sandwiches, cheese and meat boards and salads, but everything looks really good. My breakfast was just a simple ham and cheese tostado, served with a really good cup of coffee. They also had a selection of cakes, which were inviting enough for me to want to make a return visit to try them along with another cup of that coffee. It's always good to find an alternative to the ubiquitous Starbucks and Cafe Nero coffee shops. This place captures the best of Italy. It's very laid back, I particularly liked the way they went off menu to please a family that just wanted toast and jam for their kids. You definitely don't see that in Starbucks."
"We got to the venue, they didn’t have our booking on the system for 8pm we had to hang around nearly an hour before getting a table when we got sat down and ordered our food, there were a group sat behind us that left and didn’t pay as they were waiting so long for there food, we ended up eating at 10:30pm the lady serving us was great we could see the whole place was in a bit of a mess but the lady serving us really did make it a better, the food was good but as I said had to wait a really good, shame they overbooked and couldn’t handle what bookings they had. If it wasn’t for the lady we would’ve left."

"I fell into this oasis of calm and culinary delight after a hectic day at the Bradford Literature Festival and badly needing rest and refreshment. It did not disappoint. The restaurant has a tucked-away feel about it, despite being in the city centre shopping area, and is pleasantly different from the plethora of fast food outlets. You could book here for a special meal out, but I just dropped in early without having booked. The decor is simple outdoor-indoor, with just a slightly rustic feel, very clean and quite spacious for somewhere that is not huge. It has an intimate, private feel about it. The staff were amazing! (Special thanks to Laura, who put up with all my questions and chatter. Lovely friendly, patient, helpful and cheerful service throughout. That alone will make me return very soon. (PS I already have! The food I had was absolutely fine throughout. Free nibbles were first brought in a bowl, while my pizza was being prepared. (Margherita, with artichokes! I try to eat vegan/veggie as much as possible. Zizzi does cater for gluten-free diets as well. Because I have a singular sweet tooth, I ordered a Twisted Affogato for dessert. 3 x vanilla ice cream, amaretti biscuits, a shot of Aluna coffee liqueur and an espresso included. The liqueur was so lovely, I ordered another to accompany my coffee, which I upgraded to a latte. So it's an all-round heartfelt recommendation from this diner!"
"It's not a fancy location, but it's a welcoming Italian restaurant that offers good food. It's also conveniently located for those attending performances at Sadler's Wells."

"Stopped here after a hot day at thorpe park. Was staying close so suited family meal before we all parted ways. Service from a young lad was nice. Food was nice although chefs, you need to drain the water from the pasta more and reduce the cream in the pan longer as this was too watery. My choice was the Harrissa chicken pasta tasty towards the end but lacked seasoning which I just asked for salt and pepper and as above reduce the liquid! Pasta cooked perfectly Pizza was nice, just food timings are little off as we received everything bar one dish which was another 5 minutes. Pull in timings. As we recieved the first 4 and 2 sides very quickly you had time to pull together. We visited on a Saturday night and thought it would be busy but wasn't, however we liked our choice of table by the open doors as the restaurant was rather warm too. We eyed up the desserts on another table at the beginning and decided to try. Lovely however, the borage flowers, these were dry should have been left off. You put approx 20 dried small flowers that couldn't be avoided ontop, and with every mouthful I had to pull flowers out my mouth. This isn't pleasant. Cherry compote and the gelato were beautiful just ruined by this detail. Which zizzi could just stop and enjoy a better profit margin. Water glasses smudged and one unusable, small details matter!"

"I've been here a few times and always recommend it to people. considering that it is in the middle of the west end slap bang, the prices are great that I will be compared to another Italian place I will visit this evening in surrey, and the place in surrey is more expensive. the service is always good and eating is always great. the only thing I think is the frontage, it looks like the inner outdated, sticky and not completely hygienic, but that is not my experience at all, so don't let it go. highly recommended, and I will continue to go back for great Italian cuisine!"

"I have been dining here for over two decades. This beautiful restaurant is easily accessible from Kilburn Station. The family has always been kind to me. Sitting outside having a coffee in the sun or trying their delicious pizzas and pastas. All the food is made with love and high-quality ingredients. Dont miss out on this little slice of Italy . Thank you for always being kind and generous to me. Jojo."
