"On arrival the restaurant had no record of my booking even though I had received an confirmation email from The Fork. When the first course arrived they had got my order wrong. I then had to wait 10m for them to bring the (cold) smoked salmon whilst my guest’s (warm) dish was allowed to grow cold."

"We have bought a few pizzas during lockdown from Amici Mei and they have been nice. Today we ordered 4 pizzas for a birthday lunch and 2 were very burnt and 2 were just about alright to eat if you ate round half the black crust. As the kids were hungry we kept the 2 edible ones and called the shop about the other 2. The guy said to bring them in, which we did hunting for a parking space etc. When my partner got in, the chef said the Napoli was undercooked it was black on top! and margherita was ok it was also burnt on top ! Despite my having called them in advance, driven 5 mins down the road and hunted for parking, no joy. Really disappointing as we had had a few good pizzas but 4 burnt ones make for poor odds of always getting an edible pizza. Very rude and dismissive chef. Luckily soon the other better pizzerias will be open soon. I would say give your money to someone who gives a ...."

"Buyer beware. I went to check out this place to potentially bring friends later on. Upon entering, I noticed that the restaurant was mostly empty, with only three people at one table. A staff member who seemed rude and possibly under the influence of drugs or just poorly trained in customer service, greeted me. When I tried to order a coffee, it was initially refused, then allowed, but then denied again. I decided to leave as there are plenty of other great dining options in Cookstown with well-trained staff and exceptional food. I cannot recommend a place that portrays itself as something it is not. Just having the name "Italian Restaurant" does not make it so. Arrogance and poor manners are not qualities of an authentic Italian restaurant. Buyer beware."

"The restaurant had amazing food and exceptional service. We visited on New Year's Eve and found the atmosphere to be perfect for a romantic dinner for two. The prices were reasonable as well, so we definitely plan on returning in the future."

"As part of our stay in Brighton for my Fiance's birthday, we came here for dinner. This restaurant was only a few minutes walk from our hotel. As it was almost 9pm on a Monday night the restaurant wasn't very busy but when we came in, a lot of people seemed to be paying their bills. It worked for us as we enjoyed the service almost being solely on us. The food came quickly once we ordered and honestly it was one of the nicest Turkish meals we have ever eaten. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The portions were very generous and so filling. We went back to our hotel with very happy and full stomachs. 10/10. We don't live in Brighton but on our next visit to the City we will be back again."

"Very bad service. Asked for the wine list, waited 30 minutes just to remind them we asked for the wine list. There were only 2 couples in the entire bar the whole time we were there (our reservation was for 7:15pm), The servers (THERE WERE 2) literally just faced each other at the bar and talked the entire time or they were looking at their phones. We witnessed the other table ask 5 TIMES for their bill. They were very frustrated as well. By the time we got anyone's attention to ask for dessert, the server told us the kitchen closed 30 minutes ago I was sooooo mad! But said nothing and just asked for the damn bill."

"Almost perfect! My partner and I enjoyed a delightful dinner at this place a few weeks ago. The food was delicious and our waitress was very helpful and accommodating. We have dined here before and plan to return soon."

"The table was good. Our main course was served with the remark “the appetizer is the same”. We ordered them. The pasta dishes were not dressed nicely. My Ravioli over 6 pieces) glued together, only a broken-down area of sage above. Tastefully good. All right, as we had seen before in the Stadthalle. It's very good. I wouldn't drive extra there."

"excellent host and excellent eating at a very reasonable price. it would be difficult to define this place, it is not a caffe it is not a restaurant, but a thing that I know is that the products are exposed and the dishes ingredients are authentic, fresh and well balanced by the magical hands of kochs davide, a very sweet and passionate person. had a very pleasant informal evening with not pressure or unpleasant formalities. can not recommend this place enough, he is now one of my favorite in brighton area"

"Serving staff and hosting was first class: Friendly, prompt and attentive. However, the food rather disappointed. The curry wurst was made with a tasty sauce but contained very little of a rather bland sausage. The meal really amounted to a plate of chips covered with a curry sauce. More like street food than a restaurant offering; an average one at that. The wine list was heavily biased toward expensive offerings but we found one at £24. It was very, very average. Unusual in restaurants these days, where the wine offerings have improved considerably over the last few years. My partner’s chicken schnitzel was “edible” in her words; with a small amount of an admittedly tasty sauce. This was accompanied by small quantity of salad, with a basic dressing of oil. My desert of Apple strudel was spoiled by being served with a small pot of very ordinary custard, served luke warm. Perhaps ask chef to check out Lidl’s vanilla custard to find out what custard should taste like? The strudel was good though. Overall, a very average experience at an impressive looking venue well placed for after game dining. Please do better Haugen; shan’t be returning until there is evidence that you have upped your game."
