"We arrived 5 minutes early and waited by the door for 10 minutes past our reservation time. The staff seemed preoccupied with chatting and taking delivery orders, and did not seat us or check on us. The service seemed slow, possibly due to understaffing. However, the food was amazing as always. We ordered using a QR code and received our food faster than if we had waited for the staff. We were also automatically charged extra for tips, which we found unfair as it should be optional. We will consider whether to return to this restaurant in the future."

"I’ve had dinner at the Carnaby and Soho locations which have been excellent. The Covent Garden location was a different experience. Seating was behind a corner so it was very easy to forget us. My friend had ordered a drink which the waiter forgot to bring. We waited a long time for the drink and finally waived a different waiter to come to take our order. They forgot our waters and we had to waive them to bring them. The noodles weren’t as good as the other locations. When the bill came they added an additional charge for a charity which I was under the impression was optional to add not optional to remove. All in all a disappointing evening."

"The reviews I had read indicated that the food was excellent, but the staff were unfriendly and the restaurant was lacking. However, my experience was completely different. The staff were friendly and even helped me select a sake, despite my lack of knowledge. Every dish we had was the best Japanese food we have ever tasted. This noodle bar is the best I have been to personally and was a delightful surprise."
