"I absolutely love this place. The owner and the staff are friendly, just the kind of warmth you'd expect at an authentic Indian and Nepalese restaurant. I used to frequently visit Balti Curries even when I was a student at Falmouth University. They have a wide variety of dishes. I had the onion bhajees, momo, and the lamb tikka biryani. The portion size was really good and the taste was exceptional. Thank you for the lovely experience."

"Not the best experience. No parking to start with. Inconsiderate drivers. Service was overly keen. Kept interrupting our conversation various times asking is everything okay constantly throughout the experience. Manager offered as we walked in some water and poppadoms in a complimentary way. Later to find out he charged us a ridiculous price. Food was very overpriced for the quality. The variety was very limit and the staff didn’t now about the menu when asked questions. The manager was sneaky and added service charge also without asking us or telling. Place is small. Go owl and pussycat if you want good Indian food at a fraction of the price. I wouldn’t recommend unless you into a show room restaurant rather the quality and service. Thumbs down for me over hyped."

"All 4 dishes were stunning. The scallops were so sweet and enhanced by the delicate sauce. The prawns were succulent and meaty and the salmon was moist and fragrant from the beautiful blend of exotic spices. Gomezadams is not a fan of salmon so I sat there, like a cat in a fishmonger, hoping to snatch his salmon. Alas, he ate the whole thing with delight, much to my chagrin. My favourite dish was the soft shell crabs! Sweet but spicy, soft but crunchy!"

"Revisited after having moved away from London almost years ago and glad to say the food was as good as I remember it when we used to go regularly. It was a bit quiet, I assume from people being cautious about COVID, but deserves to be busy every night! "Came to bengal spice for the first time and thought the restaurant looked nice and cosy. Bringing your own drinks was a nice touch to keep the cost down too. Unfortunately after eating the food we had the worst tummy pain from it , messed our sleep up because the food was definitely not right. I think it was something to do with the sauce. Tasted good but this wasn’t something I experienced in a long time"

"Was recommended this place by a friend. We have used Cafe Indus but this place just shines far brighter. Staff we’re all really friendly, attentive and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. But the food was fantastic especially the garlic chilli lamb, and vegetable Karai. Thr poppadums, pickle tray, bhajis, rice and breads were all delicious. A lovely experience and we’ve found our new home !!!"

"Having booked a table and received confirmation and a reference number I would have at least expected them to be OPEN after we had driven mins to get there but no such luck lights were out shutters down -CLOSED extremely angry they could have least had the decency to phone US and cancel . "Unfortunately we did not see this restaurant at it's best. It was the day of a rugby final so it was packed. Knowing how busy the place would be we reserved a table and got seated on time. after a short wait we ordered and drinks and nibbles arrived quite quickly. Starters then came luke warm, and not particularly special. We then waited, and waited, and waited. An hour and three quarters after we arrived there was still no sign of a main course or any service we had tried to catch the eyes of the people working there several times. In the end we decided to leave. We reached the counter and asked to pay what we had received. This came to £40 for three drinks, nibbles and starters which we paid. In all fairness the manager was very apologetic. The waitress was very friendly as well. I could not fault either of these two. But clearly they must have been understaffed and this resulted in delays. We weren't the only group to complain about the time. So, in short, I can't really comment on how good this restaurant is usually. It has very good reviews which is why I made the reservation. But I would avoid on match days."

"The food was tasty, but I felt the portion sizes didn’t offer great value for the price. I ordered the chicken thali, which included only a small serving of chicken, some aloo saag, and a modest portion of dhal. The rest of the thali consisted of salad (which appeared brown) and yogurt. Overall, it didn’t feel like much for what I paid. Additionally, we were seated by the window, which wasn’t ideal on a hot day since there was no shade and the air conditioning was weak, making it uncomfortably warm. "Poor experience start to finish. Both waiters appeared to have no experience at all. On arrival restaurant was quiet with only one other table, waiter was unable to prepare alcoholic drinks, so we had to wait for another waiter, which resulted in a 40 minute wait for drinks. Once food was finally ordered, starters and main course all came at once, leaving no room on the table. The chicken tikka was cold and had to go back to the kitchen to be microwaved and the naan bread was hard. Sadly, the food was not what was expected having read other reviews. The waiters were pleasant, but not once checked that the food was ok or whether we would like more drinks. The ladies bathroom was far from clean with no toilet paper and a dirty sink. The meal was very disappointing and expensive. It was easy to see why the restaurant was almost empty on a Friday night."

"Okay, so this is my first review. Being a student,one always tries to find places that offer good food with reasonable prices. Dosa village is one of them. Their food is delicious, with a special mention to the Gobhi Manchurian and Paneer Devil in the snacks category. Other things I tried here included, Mysore Masala Dosa, Tomato Uthhappam all of which were tasty. The service might be a little slow because they don't have much staff but the food makes up for it. And do try either the Filter coffee or Masala Chai after your meal! :"
