"we were very impressed by da paolo, eating excellent and service very friendly. the restaurant is hidden, but clearly popular. we visited on a Sunday evening and it was only busy when we were gone (we had a table that was booked at 5.30 a.m. after we were out all day). it was good to hear a series of other customers speaking in Italian, and it was also good to see that others are well known by the employees. the food itself was varied and good quality. I had sardines to begin that were beautiful and had been a main course elsewhere. for main courses had most of our party pasta, but my wife had a risotto, that was very nice in the did. I decided for calf, my picture does not make it fair, it was tender and very tasty. I recommend paolo and will revise it in my list of restaurants."
