"My friend and I had a lovely evening and meal there. We were informed during the evening that the pub was closing for a few months for refurbishment, all we can say is that we chose the World's End because of the way it is at the moment so please don't take away the lovely atmosphere that it has at the moment, we did consider going to the Beefeater at Crossbush but looking at the website photos and reading the reviews which were poor we decided that it looked rather plain und unwelcoming."

"After booking weeks in advance for my girlfriends 30th birthday, we arrived at the restaurant to find it was closed with a hand written note pinned to the door. I had an email the day before asking to confirm my booking but no email to let me know the venue was unexpectedly closed for the evening. This was a huge disappointment and it threw off our other plans for the evening. We had both wanted to try this restaurant for a while after hearing good things but now are not so sure we'll bother to try again. Kalifornia Kitchen haven't responded to an email making a direct complaint and Opentable have given me 1000 points, which are effectively useless to me."

"Booked a table for 4 for pre-dinner cocktails via Opentable. Confirmed as requested. When we arrived they claimed to have no record of our booking. The manager made no effort to find us an alternative despite their being a number of empty seats at the bar. We were then rather smirkingly informed there were other bars nearby. I 've been here on a number of occasions before and never experienced this kind of behaviour. I doubt I 'll be back."
