"fast eating, but full of taste. tortilla is a great Mexican/Californic Burrito chain with five or six outlets dotted over london and I am very happy to have one on my stretch. this filiale is located on the ground floor of a modern building in southwark street right behind the did modern. it has an additional seating area on the floor above, but this is only opened at midday to deal with the humble of hungry office types that float out of the door. it is a caffe like room; clean, tidy and efficient running. they don't want to stay too long when they shot their Mexican snackage, but I think that's part of the point. they will be as happy here as a single daybook, a few or with a bigger party I visited with b and also on my own. as we showed up last Thursday night, I believe it is open until 9 o'clock, as we have gone to the joys of the carnival Christmas market on the south bank along the thems. it seems to be quite calm when they fall in every time after the lunch break and we receive a cordial greeting as we slung over the menu at the wall through the servier zone. as most of the Mexican grill type places that they decide whether they go the burrito or tacos route, then they draw on the compilation of their dream filling. I have at the moment a little taco-love, so I went for a few of the little corn-beauties, with the mouth watering carnitas pork, which was slowly cooked in a centimeter of his life. I built this with some hot salsa, monterey jack cheese, acidic cream and shredded iceberg salad. b went down the Burrito route and had an evil young filled with pork, rice, pinto bee, cheese and a good hit the middle salsa. a bowl of freshly made, very cingy, guacamole with a bag of excellent tortilla chips on the side and we were good to go. this is powerful, powerful fine almost food with excellent ingredients and lovingly prepared. there are large bottles of chili sauce on the table they should need it and there some food bits and pieces that they can buy to take home, they should be happy to make their own Mexican firm. if they are in the mood for a beer, then they are in luck as they have an excellent selection of Mexican and American brews. I had a bottle of the anchor steam beer and b washes the evil with a beautiful Mexican bottle whose name has completely removed me (not the usual corona or dos equis, so I soon have to make a return visit to check on this easy outlet! three quarters of an hour later we left a few very big gries with our starving beautiful sat and my wallet less than £20 light result."

"I had never been to a Nando 's before so this is my first visit review. I was surprised how busy it was, so I guessed that it must be popular, I had to wait 15 minutes for a table to become available, that wasn 't too bad as we grabbed a drink and sat outside. It is a sizable restaurant and there are quite a lot of staff, we were called when our table for 5 adults became available. Then this is when it lost 1 star, no explanation as how to order, luckily we had one of my nieces with us and she had been to a different Nando 's many times before. So, everything is done on your mobile phone, scan a barcode on the table and create an account to be able to proceed, if my niece hadn 't been with us we wouldn 't have had a clue as to how you place and pay for your order, maybe I am just getting old and I am out of touch with the new protocol 's. After having a guided tour of what was entailed we placed our orders and the food and drinks started to arrive, this was staggered and we all started eating at different times, the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. I don 't like the fact that you have to create an account and provide your email address just to order food, this I fear will lead to a barrage of emails from partner companies etc. What happened to the good old waitress/waiter service? they brought the food and drinks to the table, so why can 't they just come to the table and take the order? Some of you may read this and say this guy is out of touch maybe I am and I will take that comment on the chin, however, what about the older generation that still don 't have mobile phones? As I said, the food was delicious but I don 't care much for the faffing about the technical way of ordering food."

"Wonderful food reasonably priced great hosts again top marks to Vinod and the team hear, had tandoori roti lamb chops succulent tasty not like the hard leather at some places masala Dosa is crispy and fresh sambar spot on and the coconut chutney perfect spinach and chicken curry tasty and fresh, chicken tikka masala traditional and creamy chicken jalfrezi moreish and the egg cury great, not to mention a proper Indian chai in an authentic metal cup with bowl just how it should be, ambience is great unhurried but the team especially Vinod are attentive, met the owner who is more concerned just like the team on you as a customer enjoying your evening and meal, have been lunch time and evening and recommend anytime, they were also super busy with takeaways but you do not notice this all food served fresh hot and perfect just wish see had space for desert and if you ask for specifics for instance I asked for my jalfrezi to be extra spicy they did just that, also asked about my next visits meal deffinetly recommended if you fancy a good clean authentic Indian meal, can either go with the family or equally with a few friends it is homely and also a good place for many occasions. Do not mind paying for quality as the quantity is great and it is not heavily priced like some central London restaurants. Yet again I tried to take some photos of the dishes but as fast as it comes out from point of order it goes down just as quick, also to add note you do not get upset stomach after a meal a massive thumbs up and thank you to the team and chef."
