"I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. We arrived with a reservation for 6 people at 7:30 pm and ordered drinks and food at the bar. However, when we sat down at our table at 9 pm, we had only received our drinks and no food. After inquiring, we were told by the waiter that our order had just gone through, meaning we had waited over an hour for our food. Some of the starters we received were stone cold, including pork ribs that were inedible. When we mentioned this to our waiter, there was no apology or offer to rectify the situation. The main courses were decent, but the evening had already been ruined. We even had to pay for additional drinks before they were served to us. There was no gesture of apology or reduction in price for the terrible starters. I will not be returning to this restaurant, as the staff clearly lack proper customer service skills. They were too preoccupied with menial tasks like folding napkins to realize that customers were waiting for their food, which the kitchen was unaware of."

"Welcome to birmingham. Welcome to the bartons arms. Usually when I visit a pub, I take some quick photos of the pub sign and go inside. I didn't know where to show my camera. there was so much to inspire the eyes. the red brick building takes a large space on the corner of the high road in aston. When they look around outside, they remember to look up again. the beauty goes far beyond the second floor. the eyes sweetness go on when they enter. the deck is high. the middle piece is the fine rounded wood beam surface. the eyes are worn to the big staircase and glitter as they take the decorative percaline wall craft. Right is a beautiful bar from the 19th century. right is the restaurant that is designed from the original lounge area. the glass window at the far end of the restaurant is great. I sat at a table that was more used to putting a pint than a court. the service was attentive and accurate. I felt it could have been more relaxed, smiling to bring those warmth I enjoy. the food came quickly. the bartons arms offer great games for Thai cuisine. very tasteful. at midday an express dinner is offered. for £10.50 you can order a starter and main. excellent value for money. I could not argue about the quality of eating. I would like to see the courts differently presented. they leave the standard white crockery. what is with about 2 tons fine porcelain. try some variations on the presentation of eating. the bartons arms is a hidden gem in birmingham. a pub I would like to recommend to anyone who visits our humble city. the Thai food it offers is an excellent value for money. some food and service presentation tweaks would make the barton arms to the Thai restaurant of the choice in birmingham."

"Terrible customer service. At 10:50, one of the waiters came to tell us that they were closing in 10 minutes. At 10:51 they brought us the bill and then at 10:52 they started taking the payment. They were basically kicking us out of the restaurant. I removed the service charge (which is optional), for the same and they then came and took the plates away when I was STILL eating. Disgraceful and extremely poor customer service. I do NOT recommend this place at all."

"The Thai food at this pub was surprisingly delicious. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time as seating is limited. The beef pa nang curry had a great spicy kick and was very tasty. The lunchtime deal of a main and a pint for £11 was a great value. It was a nice change to see an alcohol-free beer on tap. The service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Overall, a great choice for a lunchtime meal with prices ranging from £10-20 per person."

"As vegans we usually end up in an Indian or Thai restaurant since we know there will always be some compliant dishes that we can order. The restaurant is tastefully furnished and decorated. The building is one of the few that reputedly survived the big 1666 fire. There is a beautiful antique leaded stained-glass window with the date 1625, and it is too bad that the inscription of a blessing is mostly hidden on the inside by a row of fake orchids. We ordered tom yam soup, broccoli with garlic sauce, tofu with ginger, green vegetable curry and two orders of brown rice. Eventhough these were simple dishes, they were executed very well, with a perfect balance of flavors and spice. Having had the same dishes in Thailand many times, I can vouch that these were as good as those I had in Thailand. Some previous reviews mentioned that the portions were too small. I disagree. We were able to share the dishes between the two of us and there was more than enough. We ended our meal with the ubiquitous sticky rice with mango, which was excellent. The use of pandan leaf to flavor the rice was a lovely surprise. The rice was also not as cloyingly sweet as in some other places. Definitely worth going back to."

"It was my hen night there on the 28th may. 15 of us went and we had a fab night. We opted for the buffet at £22 per person and it was plentiful, if you wanted more all you had to do was ask and the staff would bring the extra out to your table. The toilets are down stairs, however i did not use them as i have walking difficulties but there was a disabled toilet on the same level which was easily assessable. The staff were very friendly, infact they all made us more than welcome. Crazy wendy was fun and provided us with lots of giggles , wendy and the rest of staff all joined in with the dancing and fun. I would go back again and it is value for money."

"Although it looked good from outside, upon getting inside the experience was just getting worse and worse... Unfortunately the food is not what one could call traditional Thai food (fir example the crispy squeezed was chewy while Pha Thai was super sweet). If one feels like having Thai food, they are going to eat better off trying the food at a restaurant just on the other side of the street. And although the taste was not really what we were looking for, upset stomach on a morning after was definitely making as convinced that we will not b eating there again....."

"The food and value are great, but unfortunately the day I went with my colleagues the service was horrendous. There were only 2 girls working the entire restaurant and it showed; we struggled to get our drinks served and had to correct them a few times after they got it wronged. We also had to ask them for a wipe after the waitress spilled hot water all over our table. They also got our food order wrong, and I had to wait for my food after everyone else had been served. I would go again but only when they are fully staffed!"

"I have always wanted to visit this restaurant as we have been to Thailand many times and have taken cookery classes. The restaurant and welcome was very nice, clean, and cool, with a lovely setting. It was quiet, as expected, since we arrived quite early. The waitress who served us was okay, but did not seem very knowledgeable about gluten-free options, which is my wife's allergy. We were surprised when she said that the red Thai curry may not be gluten-free. We asked if the crackers were gluten-free, and she went to check, but never mentioned it until I asked, which was not good service as it is difficult for my wife and felt like an inconvenience. The man who served us was very friendly, which was better. The food was hot and tasty, and we really enjoyed the fresh flavors of Thai cuisine. We are considering returning for the tapas menu or just for a drink. When we left, the Thai lady was very friendly and asked how everything was, and it was nice to say thank you in Thai as it is one of the few words we know. I would recommend this restaurant, but hope that the waiting staff will return with an answer if asked about availability."

"we have visited the Thai place several times before and always had a wonderful service and great eating and drinking. Previously there was an amazing cocktail menu and the personal was always so friendly and welcoming. at this opportunity we were very disappointed to find that the beverage menu was very reduced only 4 cocktails and 2 of them were not available) . the atmosphere in the restaurant was not the same as we visited before and the 2 employees seemed uninterested. the food was as always, amazing! full of taste and beautifully presented so that we enjoy our meal, but the evening overall was not the one we were <br looking forward . I would still recommend Thai place, since I hope our visit this time was a way out and that when we dine there again, the dinge again, as they always used to <br be ."

"This was our first visit to TeT, from the moment we were greated on arrival to being the last to leave, everything was spectacular. Beautiful cocktails 2 for £12. We went with two course meal for £17.95. What was a deal ! Delicious foods ...! Certainly will not be the last. We cannot wait to return. The food was absolutely gorgeous could not fault a thing. "We booked Thai Orchid for a family party of six adults before going on to a Concert. It was a Saturday during Celtic Connections so the Restaurant was very busy. "My partner and I recently visited Edinburgh for a short break and decided to try out Thai 2 Go Street Food after finding it on Google Maps while searching for Asian cuisine. After a quick 10-minute bike ride from our hotel, we arrived at the restaurant and placed our order to go. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a red tofu curry while my partner opted for the pad thai with shrimp. We also enjoyed some pak choi and jasmine rice on the side. The flavors were authentic and reminded us of our time spent in Thailand. The staff were also very friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning to Thai 2 Go Street Food in the future!"

"fake indian pathetic restaurant that is not an Indian restaurant. all are fake bangladesch arrogante types. they are so rude to talk to customers that the first impression to have food is lost. they do not show any respect to the customers who enter. they cannot sit on their own faust on the choice of the original table, whatever they decide to sit hva only there. during the order they have so many conditions that each person must book a full meal, even if they do not have so much appetit. they will open their ass before british or English sides and can strip naked on their demand while serving others who feel them as they were accepted. "I 've been to this restaurant several times before but this time the food wasn 't great. Tempura vegetables weren 't tempura but a very heavy, undercooked, batter. Duck in a curry was essentially just skin and not much meat. Crispy chicken option from a stir fry dish was slimy and quite disgusting. I 'd previously raved about this place but now I think I 'll give it a miss for a while."

"Overall just a lovely experience for two girls who hadn't seen each other for a while. The food was great! The music was really cool and our waiter ROY even took the trouble to bring us the CD to show us what it was when we complimented the music. Red Veggie Curry and what I loved best was that we could choose any extra toppings we wanted, which is very rare in a thai resto. The staff were very patient and sweet about all our questions. We will be back! My only complaints:The veggie balls which we thought were going to be like pan fried corn fritters, were a little overcooked and very deep fried. It was a shame they didn't have the red wine we actually chose the restaurant for by looking at the menu before we sat down but it turned out that the Pinot Grigio was just as good and went better with the food probably."
