"We had never been to a large Harry Ramsden restaurant on the main high street, only to what we assumed were franchise chip shops at motorway service stations, most recently around a decade ago in Exeter. The delivery-only service in Plymouth/Devonport may be considered a step down, but it still has all the traditional Harry Ramsden branding. After a day of gardening and drinking, we chose this local delivery option as it had the shortest wait time and seemed reliable. The order arrived much quicker than we expected, in a sturdy paper bag without any fancy insulation, but the food was still hot. There were plenty of salt, vinegar, and sauce packets included. The fish was a bit dry and the scampi coating was slightly hardened, but overall the meal was decent for the price. This was all enjoyed with plenty of good beer and wine outdoors."
