"We decided to go to the Victoria Inn for a date night and had a very enjoyable time. There was an excellent selection of starters and main courses starters were particularly inventive and our chosen dishes were delicious. Its been a long time since I've had such a good risotto and although the mushrooms were truffled, the flavour was subtle rather than overpowering so full marks to the chef for that. Service was prompt but not over friendly."

"The service is very good with nice and polite staff. The ambiance is a little empty. Food is nice. Big disappointment because the wine list is different from the brother restaurant in South Kensington where you can have fantastic wines by the glass such as tignanello and ca del bosco. I would definitely go back to macellaio.... in South Kensington"

"The table, service and food were all fantastic. We were in a rush so just ordered mains. I had the hanger steak and it was amazing. The flavour was incredible. My partner had the rump steak and a side of potatoes. The steak was melt in the mouth and a decent sized side. Would definitely recommend."

"This visit has not been up to scratch. The food was almost as good as usual. Almost. However the atmosphere created by the boxes in front of the counter and some kind of chaos created by different things scattered, it was not what you would expect to see from Macellaio. There was also an alarm or something loudly beeping every few minutes. All together it did not give a relaxing atmosphere int he restaurant. We will probably wait few months before coming back"
