"For my starter, I had the beef carpaccio, which was delightful. My friend opted for the soup, and I’ve noticed that the better the food, the less we tend to chat. For the main course, I chose the steak, which I was told can be a bit tough. I confirmed this before ordering, but it’s not something I would get again. My friend had the gnocchi and was so engrossed in her meal that she barely made a sound until her plate was clean. I might try that next time if it’s available.
For dessert, we enjoyed a delicious strawberry and sherry trifle, and once again, the atmosphere was so good that we barely spoke until every last morsel was gone. Throughout our meal, our waitress frequently checked in to make sure everything was satisfactory and whether we needed anything.
I tend to gauge a restaurant's quality by the state of the ladies' room, and I must say, Adam's Brasserie excels in this area; it was spotless, with hand wash and cream available. There was also a large basket filled with individual towels for drying hands, and the restroom had a lovely fragrance. The only improvement I’d suggest is a check on the wallpaper.
Overall, we enjoyed an exceptional meal in a wonderful setting, served by friendly and attentive staff. We look forward to returning in January to celebrate my birthday!"
