"The Skylark is situated in a great location for a meal before a night out in Croydon. However, the atmosphere is not exactly upscale; I would even say it is family-friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky to find, so walking or taking the bus is a good option for locals. The food options often include a free beer, which is a nice touch. Many people rave about the fish and chips, but I haven't tried it yet as it seems quite heavy. I am, however, a big fan of the decent BBQ hot dog."

"We ordered the hot pot for three people and received a large pot of soup filled with meat, seafood, vegetables, and rice. It was incredible! None of us had ever tried hot pot before, and it was our first time experiencing Chinese cuisine as a family. We ended up loving it. I'm already thinking about celebrating my birthday with my family at this restaurant in December."

"waited 1 and half an hour for cold eating to supply I my ice cold not only cold hot. took cold eating back to the restaurant where I was told I would have microwave it worth eating £30 that I should warm. to myself. a freshly cooked order was offered in 10 minutes. I came home with my freshly cooked meal! to find it, the returned meal was only microshaft. After waiting for me to eat for 2 hours, I starved and just ate twice cooked, let us hope I won't get sick). after all this waiting around and rude service from the restaurant was eating absolutely disgusting bland soggy and tasteless. would never come back and warn that no one from here cannot order."

"Ordered a takeaway from Mayflower for the first time today. The owner and his wife were very kind and helped me pick dishes which would satisfy everyone's tastes waiting back home. I was staring at the menu for a wee while. The food kung po chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls, special fried rice, mini spring rolls and beef, black bean and pepper was delicious. We will definitely be returning. Service: Take out"
