"This has been my favourite restaurant in the part of Norfolk for a number of years. It is good value for the quality of food. Today, the starter was absolutely delicious scallops and belly pork but my main sea bass was over-salty and the green veg was not salted at all, so far as I could tell. The people at the next table to ours said the same about the sea bass, I believe. It was as though someone had salted it twice by accident However, the textures of the food were all spot on and I will still be going back again, (though maybe with a tiny reminder not to over-salt the food). The veg was fresh and one could taste the individual flavours of the various vegetables Sadly, we were too full to try the puddings, but they looked good and varied and, for once unlike many other restaurants I go to, they were not all based on dark chocolate, as I (for one) do not wish to have strong chocolate any time after 11:30am, or it keeps me awake at night The service was very friendly, but we were perhaps asked too often if it was alright, even before we spoke about the level of salt. The ambiance there is always good, relaxed but not too casual."
