"Well a incorrect booking at a toby lead us down the road to the Plough and how glad were we. We decided to sit on the terrace in a blaze of October sunshine. We ordered the trio of meat Sunday roast. Well when it arrived all I can say is wow. Half a chicken, slabs of beef and beautiful succulent pork all dressed with a assortment of vegetables and a huge Yorkshire amazing Dessert for myself I went for the Eton mess again lovely my friend had the chocolate brownie and you could smell the richness of the chocolate from the other side of the table and she said it was absolutely lovely. The staff were friendly attentive, and sorted a doggy bag for me I couldn't eat all the roast) and to be honest always had a smile whenever we interacted. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return to Costa ala Langley On a end note, gorgeous tree in the car park Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Yorkshire Pudding, Cauliflower Cheese, Roasted"

"My wife surprised me with a celebration at The Pheasant Inn on Saturday, November 12th. The party had about 85 people and took place in the function room that Saturday night. We had exclusive use of the space, and The Pheasant Inn provided a buffet for all attendees. There was also a private band (Old’s Cool) that entertained us while we enjoyed the delicious food. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. We had a great meal at The Pheasant Inn the week before, so we were already impressed with the restaurant. We live in Muxton, but we would not hesitate to return to The Pheasant Inn for food and drinks in the future, or to use their function room for special occasions. Thank you to everyone at The Pheasant Inn for helping to make it a fantastic night."

"This is the third time we have been to The Pheasant since it reopened. The first time was during the first week and there were some teething problems but staff were polite and friendly. We have been back twice since (as this is our local and we want it to succeed) and the next two times, we have had food. Sadly, the food was sub par on both occasions. The sea bass was a very small portion (so overpriced for what it was) and overcooked and served with overcooked red cabbage and carrots (which really do not go with sea bass). My son had scampi, which he did not eat due to its poor quality. The burgers and chips on both occasions were also dry. The service has been adequate but I was shocked when a member of staff asked my husband if he had finished his meal and when we said yes, she just walked off, without removing his plate! It’s hard to ruin drinks and ours were generally good, except the quality of the rose wine is poor and tastes cheap. When the pub was empty, they were advertising for a publican who would be “food led” i.e. good! There is nothing leading about the food in The Pheasant at the moment and it is deeply disappointing. For us to eat here again, we will need to see significant improvements. If it is to get back to the standard we saw when Martin and Julie were in charge, then it has a lot of work to do!"

"Sunday roast to really scream. 1. visit the royal oak pub today in pett. we always try somewhere else for a roast lunch when we are near hastings on Sunday. we booked a table with ease this morning! when we arrived at roast at 15.00, the parking was almost empty 2 points! well, we did not need to fear that the staff was beautiful and courteous and that was enormous I had the toasted lungs of pork with apricots and apfel stuffing him in the interiors for lamb. both meals came out with yorkshire puddings the cheeks she had made new her mother I could go on, but I won't. beware to the chief and kitchen staff for providing the "best "sunday roast in this neck of the forest...10/10 bier choice excellent and a real pub with charming pub garden to shoe (it was the jubileee weekend and always where outside in the sticks was quiet)"

"We stayed last night and had a beautiful room clean warm and very spacious with great parking . However we went into the resturant which was full. There was a very full table of 10 or more to our left . They still hadn't had their full courses and were still waiting after 2 hours . We were waiting for a cookie to arrive with our hot drink but no one knew they were out of stock except for the off duty cook Ellie who came to rescue with chocolate brownie and saved the day . Glasses everywhere over the bar it appeared true kaos. Dishes everywhere also No direction organising waiting staff , even though they were rushed off their feet no one appeared to be in charge . Waiting staff doing their best I went to the loo on my way out only to hear more complaints of people waiting an hour for food only to be told they had run out of pies. I would highly recommend accommodation and breakfast made by Ellie but would avoid eating here of an evening atm . Please Managers sort it out!! "The service was excellent from the moment we arrived to the end of our meal. The staff regularly checked in to ensure everything was okay and if we needed anything else. The shared loaf of bread with butter and oil made for a great start to the meal. The burger with blue cheese was fantastic, and the sticky toffee pudding was just perfect. Pairing it with a few Marlow breweries IPAs might not qualify it as the healthiest meal on the planet, but it was truly delicious. We also enjoyed another burger and two orders of fish and chips, which were just as satisfying."

"AMY a breath of fresh air in customer sevices .thank you Amy ! We went here from essex for my aunties 80th birthday celebration. We had a buffet and stayed overnight. Location wise this pub is perfectly located as the train station is literally a 1 minute walk, one stop and you are in Knutsford a beautiful town with cafes restaurants and boutique style shops , wonderful! Our service was impeccable from start to finish , reception greeting fantastic and bar staff especially AMY was just incredibly professional courteous helpful and much more thank you Amy for all your help to make the 2 days stay special. The manager was fantastic as we had a puncture and he assisted with the help in getting us back on the road, again thank you. Suella again just fantastic! Thank you By the way the sunday roast here is the best I’ve ever had so a massive compliments to the chef ! Absolutely fantastic food here well done chef ! Beers wise again a very large selection , a massive pub with a massive garden to accommodate, excellent size for any situation. Overall unbelievably accommodatingsimply cannot fault from start to finish ! Thank you to all Wonderful Nearby activities: Train station 1 minute walk away"

"Lovely little restaurant with typical Scottish dishes, and more refined than the usual. Very often portion sizes at restaurants are a bit too big for our liking here they were perfect! We were able to really enjoy all three courses in their entirety. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and even took the time to have a chat and a joke with us, despite being busy, taking care of the place on his own. Tip: you might have to pay cash there is an ATM right across the street."

"This is a wonderful traditional inn. Good service, great beer choices, very accommodating for our family group. The only reason I have marked it down for food is that there is only one vegetarian main option and no vegan option. The meat eaters thought the pies were delicious. It was my son’s birthday and the whole restaurant sang happy birthday to him when his pudding with big sparkly candle was brought out.
