"Even though Rock and Rose has a few flaws as a restaurant, it's great fun for a night out. The drinks menu is long, good value and very well executed. Cocktails like the Hibiscus Royale are delicious as are mocktails like the Rock and Rose with passionfruit and cranberry. Food on the whole is very well cooked and diverse the menu is very hard to choose from due to the good flavour combinations and variety; but having said this it is not exciting and certainly doesn't reflect the decor or vibe of the restaurant. My Halloumi salad with tomatoes and pearl barley was nice as a starter, my girlfriend's lamb rump with herb rub and potatoes was very tasty and my teryaki chicken, though a little dry had a fantastic spicy sauce and well cooked rice and broccoli. The dessert of cheesecake and berry compote was again very picturesque and well presented and moorish too. On the whole a really good buzzy experience with lots of pro's to go with a few minor cons."
