"Even though I had confirmed our table before hand when getting there they were unable to see the booking. Luckily I had an email and text confirmation to prove I did. Was very embarrassing because they held up a queue behind us. No apology or anything, the lady in the front just kept giggling and later said the booking was for the year 2021 which was incorrect as I showed her the email and text confirmation to prove it was for the correct date. Anyway We were put in a random room on our own with no other guests so it was incredibly quiet with no atmosphere (later a couple other tables had people) felt like a spill over room, food was ok but waiter made us feel like we should go for what he wanted vs what we wanted to order when it came to food and drinks so we didn’t enjoy the food, one waiter smelled really bad. Overall the whole experience was awful. A world of a difference from our previous experience at Boisdale Belgravia over a year ago. Will not be going there again. Very disappointed."

"harvey nichols is not somewhere where I would normally be spotted because of my lack of gold stacks, but when I saw her restaurant from which I heard big dinge, had a offer in januar, I had to use. we arrived early to taste the cocktail menu in the bar. at £8.50 it was possibly one of the most expensive drinks I bought in edinburgh, but harvey nics, they must expect to pay for the luxury. Unfortunately, I chose a drink I didn't like at all, so it turned out to be a bit more painful buy!"

"Superb Meal with friends for a 50th birthday celebration and Fringe Show. From start to finish we couldn’t fault service and food was excellent. Great set menu for £35 for 3 courses and cocktail. The garlic loaf was delicious and an amuse busche of soup was beautiful. To top it off the festival fireworks came on which were amazing and they presented the birthday girl with a birthday cupcake. What a view. We’ll be back."

"The evening was lovely, with a fantastic table overlooking St Andrews Square. However, the food was extremely disappointing considering we paid £19 for two courses and a cocktail through Opentable. I hope restaurants don't offer deals they don't want to honor. The chips were soggy and unappetizing, served in a messy pile on a small plate. The cocktail was tasty, but unfortunately, the waitress forgot about it and it arrived with our wine. The restaurant wasn't very busy and I was embarrassed for my guests as I had chosen the restaurant. It may be a while before I consider returning, if at all."

"yesterday, to celebrate my friend birthday and the efforts of the workers surpassed my expectations! when I booked a table, I asked if at the end of our meal they could bring a piece of cake with a candle. they brought a piece of delicious chocolate cake, served with an ice cream, with a sparkling candle and they wrote on the teller happy birthday and my friends names! They all helped me to sing a happy birthday and let my friend be pretty embarrassed as he expected nothing! we had a great night! Many thanks to all amazing employees who feel very special to us! "Visited on a Sunday afternoon with 3 friends...we waited just a few minutes to be seated and our lovely waiter was quickly over to take our drinks order. The service was excellent and the food delicious. The drinks were served quickly and we were more than happy that we received value for money. Lovely couple of hours..would definitely recommend and come again"
