"I recently returned to Aroma Spice, a restaurant that has been a favorite of mine since it opened in 1999. Known for its delicious Indian cuisine, Aroma Spice has always been the top choice in Hampstead, and possibly even in all of North London. After being closed for three months, I was worried that the restaurant may have suffered financially and gone downhill. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Aroma Spice had been reopened last week with a fresh new look. The restaurant has been revamped with a modern and stylish design, featuring a beautiful long bar made of wood and granite. Despite the new renovations, the atmosphere remains relaxed and inviting. I'm happy to report that Aroma Spice is still the same excellent restaurant I remember."

"cumin club are so friendly and helpful! I've been a loyal customer for years. for vegetarians there is so much choice and for vegan cumin club can vegan-ise their menu. I usually order the tasty beside dishes (kickbäse, spinat, kartoffeln, lentils-curry etc.) and chapati brot when I’m home with a takeaway (to collection.) but if there is in the restaurant, there is really so much choice and some really interesting dishes. always a winner and not too expensive! They can also modify the court to the loads of garlic (like I crazy for garlic) or make it more spicy etc. the restaurant is actually over 2 etagens, so its very rare that seating places are not available (except its Valentine's Day.. and even then they managed to press it without having booked in advance) try it, they will not be destroyed!"

"I ordered Chutneys and Poppadoms, lamb biriyani and peshwari naan bread. My partner chose a very hot curry (I can’t remember what). Chutneys were mango chutney, onion salad, lime pickle and raita yoghurt sauce served in little dishes (but plenty to eat). Poppadoms were fresh, large and crispy. The lamb biriyani was delicious. The biriyani is served as “dry” flavoured mixed rice and lamb (it wasn’t dry but isn’t saucey) then a simple mild saucey vegetable curry is served on the side to pour over if you wish. The lamb itself was good quality and cooked perfectly. The fat had rendered, it was incredibly succulent and tasty, the texture was melt in your mouth, there were absolutely no nasty fatty bits at all. The biryani was absolutely delicious and didn’t need the curry but I enjoyed both. The peshwari naan bread was delicious and sweet. I can eat a lot, had missed lunch and was making up for it at dinner time, however even for me this was a generous amount of food so I wrapped up the naan in a napkin and enjoyed the following day. The building is beautiful, it’s a grand room, small floor area but very tall ceilings. The dining room still manages to feel cosy and homely. It’s worth a trip down to the toilets just to see a bit more of the building. I also had a glass of red wine which had strong enough flavour to stand up to the meal. Very good value. I will be back! And bringing other people!"

"I have been a patron of this restaurant for two decades. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. However, when I tried to place a takeout order tonight, I was surprised to find that my request was denied. After speaking with the manager, he claimed that they have never delivered to my address. It seems that there has been a change in management, and the service has deteriorated significantly. Despite the restaurant's website and Just Eat indicating that they offer delivery, I advise against ordering from here as it will only result in wasted time."

"We booked Jilabi last minute to host a 40th birthday party for 25 family members. We were allocated a private function room and given support in planning the menu to meet the needs of our party. From start to finish we experienced tasty food but the customer service was certainly amongst the best we have ever experienced. Unfortunately the cake that we had purchased had been left out of the fridge (error on our part) and collapsed as soon as the waiters were due to bring it in. The workers discreetly notified us and arranged a similar cake from the same cake shop in such a short amount of time. After our mains came the freebies that we hadn’t requested but were provided complimentary by the restaurant. First came chocolate cake with ice cream and fresh Indian sweets. Then came a mock tail that was absolutely delicious. They then served us huge fresh fruit platters followed by our choice of tea or coffee. We paid a modest bill for this exceptional meal and will be sure to attend again in the future."

"Food ok tasty but ordered king prawn and served small prawns, not told and when asked given glib response. Service timings prompt but oh my, the waiter was unfriendly, dismissive and rude. Not just to us, we saw this to a number of guests this evening. I'm shocked at how we/others were dismissed as if we were an inconvenience. "I recently enjoyed a wonderful set meal at this restaurant. The chicken tikka and seekh kebab starters, along with the salad, onion salad, and minted yogurt, were all delicious. The portion sizes were generous and the naan bread was soft and excellent. However, two of the main courses were somewhat disappointing as they were too sweet. The chicken tikka masala and mattar paneer seemed overly sweet, almost like a dessert. It's a shame because the underlying flavors were good. I would have given a higher rating if it weren't for this issue. We had booked online and received a text message notifying us that delivery would be delayed by 40 minutes. Initially, we considered canceling our order. However, after making a phone call, our meal was delivered in just 30 minutes. It's definitely worth calling to place your order!"
