"We 'd booked a table to eat. It was a bank holiday and was quite rowdy in the bar area when we arrived. The food was very rich and ever so greasy, i enjoyed some of the dishes, others not so much. A meal and drinks for two came to just over £200 with a service charge of around £25. We wanted to carry on drinking at the table after our meal. The staff advised they needed to close our food bill but we could stay and pay as you go for drinks. We settled the food bill and ordered more drinks and they applied another service charge of about £5 for one round! Had we not challenged it they would have continue to apply the service charge for each round of drink, which is really poor practice considering we 'd just paid a decent service charge for our meal. Wasn 't impressed by this at all."
