"This restaurant is now called Dolce Italia. We had a table for 5 and were really impressed with both the food and service we received. The fish soup had a tasty bisque quality with fresh sea bass and fresh warm bread. The mushroom crostini looked good and tasted better. Caprese salad was fresh looking and yummy. Mains were also excellent. Belly of pork melted in the mouth, chicken milanese was moist with generous spaghetti in tomato sauce, with fresh tomatoes running through it. seafood linguine had lots of sea food, all perfectly cooked. Desserts were also good. I had the panna cotta, lovely wobble and beautiful taste. Also great value for money, with wine sensibly priced and affordable. Would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be returning."

"Lovely food and atmosphere. Went here for lunch on the eat out to help out deal. I had the swordfish (waiter's recommendation) it was lovely. The veg and sauce tasted fresh and the fish cookery was very good. My girlfriend had the calzone and it was so massive that everyone else in the restaurant was commenting on how good and how big it looked. I tried a bit and it was excellent. Nice dough, plenty of filling and tasty tomato sauce. Service was quick. Portion sizes were large so go on an empty belly. Excellent value for money, will return and I will recommend to family and friends."

"The night didn 't get off to a good start as we were seated upstairs which was empty except for us so the atmosphere was non existent we felt treated like second class citizens. We were told there would be other people arriving but they never did. My partner asked for the vegan menu to be told there wasn 't one. When I insisted it was showing on line they suddenly found it! I had the bruschetta as a starter all I could taste was raw garlic a lump of which was in my salad. The wine was very good as was the bream I had for the main course. My partner described his vegetarian dish as weird with random large lumps of unidentifiable vegetables. We 've eaten here before had a great time but this was an utter disappointment, leaving a special celebration completely flat."

"Ate here on two occasions over the past month. Best thing probably the coffee which comes with nice tablet. For brunch I had a roll and Square sausage which was ok although sausage slightly burnt. My partner enjoyed her avacado toast dish. On another occasion we probably made a bad choice of starter when we picked focaccia with cheese. This was a lot of eating and a bit too much for us to eat. For my main I had tagliatelle with beef. The pasta was ok but some of the beef was a bit tough and actually tasted like a peparami! I will probably eat there again although I will be a bit more cautious when I choose my food."

"Booked Esca on chance as it was near Glasgow Green and Barrowlands Ballroom. I was not disappointed, as we were shown quickly to our table and had prompt service. "Went here randomly as the nearest place to where I met a business partner... and was blown away by the food quality and service. The staff were fantastic attentive and engaging, and clearly very experienced. The price seemed impossibly good for such high quality meals, with very decent portion sizes. The spicy chicken penne was amazing. The tomatoes tasted very real and the aroma reminded me of my Mediterranean heritage. The pizzas looked amazing too, freshly made on site from scratch, baked in view of the seating area, and a very good size considering the price and attention to detail.
