"We booked a table thinking it would be busy on a Saturday afternoon just before Christmas. We arrived and it wasn’t particularly busy at all most tables were empty so it was fine. We ordered drinks I wanted a Hendricks and tonic there was no cucumber we were informed ok not the end of the world. We then attempted to order food. Husband wanted steak. No steak! Then No fish and chips No pizza No steak and venison pie! The menu seemed to be depleted of most things it seemed. We eventually got some food and the chunky ‘frozen’ chips were hard so most were left. We then ordered desert. We thought a festive sundae sounded good and a chocolate creme brûlée with brownie and strawberries. Was looking forward to that! Oh no the sundae was thrown into a pudding bowl with bits of Christmas pudding in some ice cream and squirty cream on top it was horrible. My anticipated brûlée arrived…..no not that at all a chocolate melt in the middle fondant with a blob of ice cream. We felt we had spent over £65 on something we would never want again. We won’t be going here again and do not recommend disappointing visit"
