"The coffee at this lovely restaurant is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to ensure guests feel comfortable. The tables are promptly cleaned between guests, and menus are provided as soon as we are seated. The outdoor seating offers a perfect view of the sunset on a beautiful day. While I did not eat during my visit, the food coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. I look forward to returning in the future."

"We had left Dolly's Tea Rooms across the road as we were very disappointed in them (see review that I left! We only noticed Zest Café Lounge as we were driving away, and decided to call in. How lovely! Very attentive waitresses and good snack type menu choices. The table was cleaned as soon as we sat down although we were told it had been cleaned already. Didn't have to wait long for our drinks and food. Everything was very fresh, and really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed eating at this friendly little cafe. Well definitely be back!"

"Absolutely loved every moment in this place! The staff was nice. I won't lie, but there's 100% witchcraft here! Wizardry, I'll tell you! I also have to try vegan tofu prawn toast! Since I turned vegan, I wanted to see how it tastes and there it was on the beautifully designed menu. The interior was absolutely breathtaking. The toilets looked far to be in them for me. I really had a wonderful time."

"This is my favourite place to eat in Malton, I a friend regularly have takeaway drinks lunches, mainly either, soup, sandwiches, wraps, paninis or salads. All are freshly made delicious very reasonably priced. Malton has a wide variety of cafes coffee shopsto chose from but the stand out feature that draws us back to the Patisserie is not only high quality food but the friendly, efficient staff who always make us feel so welcome. Although less often, we occaisionally sit in in the cafe which provides the same first class service products. There is also a well stocked shop with a wide variety of lovely biscuits, cakes, preserves drinks which can be made into hampers. The delights of this little Malton gem are too numerous to mention."

"I recently visited a fantastic local coffee shop that has been recently renovated and looks very stylish! The dining area has a modern and contemporary feel, with clearly displayed vegan options and freshly made sandwiches and paninis available. I decided to try the Christmas white flour bap with vegan sausages, stuffing, and cranberry sauce, and it was delicious and filling. The sausages in the bap were of good quality and they were generous with their portions. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that vegan butter was used and taking precautions to prevent cross-contamination by adding extra foil on the counter. I was very impressed by their attention to detail and can't wait to return!"

"We were in the area for the British Grand Prix. Our accommodation did not provide food so I looked around and liked the look and reviews of The Plough Inn at Marsh Gibbon. After a long day all four of us were in need of refreshment. There is a separate dining area which suited us well after our long day. With a good choice of menu and this being our main pit stop we needed refuelling. We were not disappointed having all chosen comfort food. The chef cooks ham and gammon with coke and the result is delicious. We were well served and looked after, the beer was good too. I would have no hesitation in going back nor in recommending this fine hostelry."

"If you sit outside, the noise of from the take away coffee queue (crying kids and barking dogs) is overwhelming. To the point where you can’t hear a friend talking right next to you. The waiter staff are lovely. They are both French which adds to the charm but they don’t always understand requests. So it can be hard to communicate changes to orders or special requests. Other than that this is a stunning venue. I would 100% return but I won’t sit near the take away coffee pick up point."

"This place looked fascinating when we passed it earlier in the week so we thought we'd make a reservation for Friday night. When we walked up minutes before our reservation time we noticed the place was packed. So packed in fact that some people had spilled out into the outdoor seating even though it was degrees outside. When we walked in there was no staff in sight, so we squeezed past other people to the bar and questioned a staff member about it. He just looked bewildered and told us to sit down wherever we could. There were no other seats, so we left and went down the street to Brigade and had a much nicer time."

"please allow me to add my bit to the overall rating. Actually, I'm surprised I'm letting you say that. I was in other caffes in the juweler district, but this one is actually standing for me. because it doesn't cost them 10€ to the breakfast and what they get is definitely more than what they pay. £5.50 for a breakie, and pate is loaded. I know you say it's just a breakie, but how many times did you fail? it is a simple task, but as the first meal of the day they want it well done and it is the prizes are great staff is super beautiful. in any case comes back."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this restaurant, especially the variety of cakes available. The dining menu looked enticing, so we plan to return for breakfast or lunch at some point. The staff members were all very friendly, and we appreciated that they promptly replenished the dog treats when they ran out. The venue itself was charming and cozy, with interesting decor, and it was well-maintained and clean. The only downside for me was that the milk used in the hot chocolate was too hot and burnt, affecting the taste. I noticed that they lacked a milk thermometer for steaming, so everything was done based on estimation."

"I was quite excited discovering this place on the web prior to a visit to Braintree as I love Vegan food, independent cafes etc...and reading these reviews bolstered my anticipation. But when I arrived it turned out that it’s a very small operation, very much an add on, side hussle to the shop. They didn’t have the menu items that I’d been seeking (and the guy there was not very helpful about suggesting similar alternatives) and the dining area was more of an alcove off the shop which seemed a bit claustrophobic and as there was noone in there (it was about 1pm on a Weds afternoon) and I was there solo it wasn’t really appealing to eat there alone. So I decided not to. Therefore I can’t comment on the food but was just not what I expected"

"Don’t go to this place. The worse customer service. I went for lunch with 6 other friends and it has to be the worst place I have ever eaten in. The service was terrible. Firstly I found a long dark hair I have blonde hair so it wasn’t mine) in my chicken wrap when I complained. They took the food off me and without me asking if wanted something else or not! They took the plate away. My friend ordered a bacon sandwich and the bacon was green and rank! My other friend asked for olive oil they didn’t have any! The Rhubarb is on a very trendy rd and it looks good and stylish but they should stick to being a pub/ bar rather than an eating establishment. When we complained and went to pay bill the manager was very passive aggressive and didn’t appear to care about us or customers. I wouldn’t go there even if you paid me."

"very slow service, and the 3 waiters present on the day seemed all very young and quiet and inexperienced. that let the overall experience down. disappointed that upon giving us the bill the waitress immediately gave us the card machine and asked how we were paying. as we were a group of 2 couples we were hoping to split the bill and wanted time to work this out and also check the bill was correct, this waitress gave us no time and it felt as though she hadn't even considered that we may have wanted to read over the bill first of all before being rushed to pay. food was very good though."
