"I was a walk up customer for dinner as I didn't make a reservation. Staff offered to seat me outdoors, which was fine as I enjoy people watching. I ordered a bread course, the cod cheeks starter, and salmon fillet for the main course. To drink, I had the the Simpsons Canterbury brut rose sparkling wine. It was a very good English sparkling wine for 12.50 pounds/$15 a glass. The bread course was huge and worth the charge. The cod cheeks were substantial and could have been a main course. There was, however, too much sauce. As a result, it was more like a plate of sauce with cod cheeks added for flavor. The salmon fillet was excellent. Perfectly cooked. Service was attentive and more than justified the included 12.5% service charge. If I had a complaint, it was the cod cheeks starter (just too much sauce the kitchen should have caught it) and the paper napkin. I expect a linen napkin when I'm spending upwards of 70 pounds/$85 for dinner."
