"Disappointed that we arrived for Valentines at 2030 and it took until 2200 to receive our meal. Staff were very apologetic and not their fault, but we are now returning to normal and blaming covid for lack of quality and service in a 5 star hotel is becoming weary especially as the prices to eat out these days has gone up. The waitress who served us was amazing and offered us some complimentary drinks which was welcomed. Reviews constantly highlight the wait time for service....come on Marriott up your game please!"

"I cannot recommend Smaka enough, I was there several times (for dinner and for brunch on Saturday) and the food and service are always brilliant. You have won t get a burger there, Swedish cuisine it is (I think), but if you love your food and you don't mind trying different and tasty dishes, then you must give it a try. I love my pancakes and can now say that I tried American, French and Swedish and would have second (third) help from all. The restaurant is on a quiet street and the decor is a bit boring (looks more like a pret a manger unfortunately as a place with unforgettable cooking), but it has great food and wine and it is excellent value for money."

"I was disappointed with my latest visit to this restaurant. I have had great experiences here before, but this time was not as enjoyable. I made a last-minute reservation on a Saturday night and was surprised to find no one to greet us at the door. The restaurant was nearly empty, aside from a large family group who had been there before us. The food was decent, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, I was unimpressed. It's a shame because this restaurant had so much potential when it first opened."

"I was recommended this place by a friend from Dubai. They described it as a great dining experience with a classy party vibe. I was very impressed with the entire experience. I had read some mixed reviews about the place and was a bit unsure whether to book or not, however the experience exceeded my expectations. When I arrived I was pleasantly greeted by the security staff and then the receptionist was also very polite, who even offered to take a few photographs of us at the entrance. Inside the DJ was amazing. And the waiters were very relaxed and assistive. We felt no pressure to order quickly or leave at the end of the allocated time slots. The food was decent, and drinks were great. I will definitely be coming back soon."

"The cocktails are delicious they will make you one of your choice that isn't on the menu. The only minor complaint we have is that they don't have any cocktail cherries haven't for our last 2 visits a Manhattan traditionally comes with a cherry. The staff are pleasant, the ambience improves with more people. Bit cold early on."

"beautiful reception and we chose our seats as restaurant was empty and thus no atmosphere. we sat with a look at the cash that compensates. beautiful feature tree is real wow. the pre-theater menu had very limited choices, the waiter has directed us quite a lot to the al a carte at the arrival. menu has not included what I had seen as the suggested online menu and a fish course, cauliflower and pheasant as main offers. beautiful weeping, but they need to spend around £60 for a mid-range £12 bottle in their local wine shop. steak was very good and was served without a side. I ordered the three-fold boiled chips, but only 6 chips arrived that I thought to take the michael (and how they cook three times chips in 15 minutes is a secret). When I mentioned this to the waiter, he was quite multifaceted and made me feel uncomfortable. an older team member entered and was very good. this did not arise how I felt and was made worse than suggested that I speak to a manager. the service was included on bill that I unpaid."

"Remarkable to find this restaurant in the middle of London in the 21st Century. Traditional vegan Japanese foods prepared imaginatively, delicious and served with grace and dedication. Ecologically sourced ingredients and in each dish underlying ethical principals. There were many choices in the menu which was a bit overwhelming nevertheless there is plenty of variety and meals for different tastes. I had tempura as part of my fare, an array of flavourful cooked and fermented delicacies and exquisite sushi with a mouth watering creamy sesame dessert. This is healing food that can be savoured and not rushed."

"My family dined at a table outside in front of the restaurant. Our table was assigned a number, so when we placed our order at the counter, they knew where to bring our food. Two of us shared the mackerel and leek quiche and the classic cullen skink meals. We enjoyed drinks and the beautiful view as we waited for our food. The quiche arrived at room temperature, but when I asked a server about it, she explained that was how it was served. She kindly offered to heat it up for me, which I appreciated. The salad was fresh and tasty, accompanied by a side of creamy coleslaw and chips (similar to French fries). The chips were crispy and delicious. The cullen skink was like a rich potato soup with thin slices of potato, leeks, and smoked haddock. It was served with bread and butter. While nothing stood out as exceptional, everyone in my party enjoyed their meals. The staff was friendly and efficient, and we had a lovely evening in a charming small town in Scotland."

"We really enjoy the brasserie, but we were disappointed by the small portions and the lack of gluten-free bread. We expect every food service establishment to accommodate dietary restrictions. The service was also lacking this time, as we had to ask twice for water and butter for the table. These items should have been provided without us having to request them separately."

"The restaurant received a 2.5 rating for food, 4.5 for service, and 5 for ambiance. It is by far the most Instagrammable restaurant I have ever visited. Despite our initial desire to have breakfast in the glade room, it was fully booked, so we dined in the parlour instead. The staff were all highly professional and courteous. We ordered the eggs benedict and pain au chocolat. The pain au chocolat was not as flaky as expected, but the chocolate chips inside were delicious. The eggs benedict was on the smaller side and had a unique taste that was somewhat disappointing. The highlight of the meal was the delicious bread that came with the eggs benedict, which was crispy and flavorful. The real standout was the restaurant's decoration. We had the opportunity to see the glade and gallery, and despite having to wait until 11:20 to see the famous egg-shaped lion, it was well worth it. Overall, I recommend visiting for the unique ambiance."
