"Ordered chicken curry (hot and pilau rice to share with the mrs as we both like different curries and have never tried this dish, rice was lovely, colourful and very flavoursome, chicken curry was so nice, the sauce was spot on, plenty of spices and herbs. Free poppadom with mango and onions went down a treat, many thanks for a very nice curry, thoroughly enjoyed, will definitely order it again : enjoyed every mouthful, from both of us : !!!!"

If you think this place is good, you must have incredibly low standards. "Do not go to this restaurant. There are plenty of other options nearby that would be a better choice. While the prices are reasonable, the orders are consistently incorrect. The menu is confusing and does not match the items you receive. They do not pay attention to specific instructions or requests. "My daughter came to this restaurant yesterday to have a pizza. She is 11 years old. She ordered a cheese pizza that was advertised as £5. However, the man serving her asked for £6.50 instead. When she pointed out that the menu clearly stated £5, he insisted that it was actually £6.50. He then started to become impatient with her when she continued to argue that it was £5. It was not a good experience trying to rip off an 11 year old."

"Just back from this restaurant if you could call it that. One of the worst experiences we have ever had in our lives. We booked a table for 12 with children and had been sat down for 5 minutes. One of our infants knocked two plates together and the owner gave us a stare. Then one of the adults in our party tried to shuffle in behind the table and a plate accidentally fell and smashed. The owner then proceeded to the table with an aggressive tone and said don 't break any more plates they cost a pound each ' and then one of our party that said 'sorry it was an accident, I genuinely didn 't mean it, if you are so unhappy about it just add it to our bill '. The owner then said ' okay I will then and stop breaking plates '. We all had to leave immediately before we ordered any food due to the horrendous atmosphere that this owner caused. What is more frustrating about this is that we had family visiting from abroad and brought them here for their last night. What an absolute embarrassment this has been. Even when we said we were leaving he said 'on you go! '. If they truly believe that this is the kind of atmosphere that customers like to receive then I believe they are well off the mark. There is definitely an air of arrogance and condescension as if they don 't need the money or the custom. So if your not sure about where you want to go for something to eat and are considering this place, take our advice give it a very wide berth and go somewhere else where you will surely be looked after better."

"Hi we ordered a takeaway legally as per covid ! We live only an 8 minute drive away, we were told 20 minutes for collection and we arrived in good time to no que and left for home at around 20 minutes later ! We ordered chicken pakora which was cold ! A portion of chicken tikka masala and it was grainy almost as though the yogurt wasn’t fresh as the sauce looked sandy and was slightly gritty in texture, we also ordered a chicken Korma and the sauce was the same but also spicy (which Korma isn’t supposed to be). With both mains we ordered fried pilau rice which was also cold but even worse when you opened the containers the rice came out in rectangular lumps and it didn’t want to separate and clumped together. The rice was definitely reheated from probably the day before as we ordered our meal at 5.30pm ish. I ordered from this shop on the TripAdvisor ratings and having ordered a starter and 2 main courses if 1 thing was going to be disappointing then fair enough but for the whole meal to be **** then I suggest the owners have had a big hand in the ratings for their establishment. I also at the point of ordering our meal made a point of telling the guy on the phone that this was the 1st time I had ordered from them as their ratings looked great. I will definitely not be spending my hard earned cash in this establishment again disappointed is an understatement !"

"Had great meals here in the past but ordered a takeaway this evening and it was a bit disappointing. £50 felt steep for what we got. The butter chicken honestly tastes exactly like heinz tomato soup with some chili! It was also chicken tikka meat.So although not unpleasant it was nothing like a butter chicken. My partner's lamb korma was also not like a korma, no coconut flavour. I also found the pakora too cardamom-y but that could be personal preference. The nans were decent but I do think the ones we had eating in in the past were nicer, fresher. Unfortunately probably won't be back."

"I had an amazing experience at this pub. The staff provided great service and were very friendly. They did a great job hosting the Knuckle FC social event. "I went to the restaurant and ordered a meal deal along with some additional items. Unfortunately, they were out of stock of the items I wanted. This should have been a red flag for me as the problems continued throughout the meal. The starter was overcooked and dry, the chips were overcooked, and the naan bread was burnt. Both the Peshawari and garlic naan were tasteless and had a powdery, salty texture. My dining companions and I were very disappointed and found the whole experience disgusting. I would not recommend Flame Tandoori to anyone. It was a long time since I had such a bad dining experience."

"This was our first visit to this restaurant which is about 5 minutes walk from Chatham Station. There is a varied menu and plenty of vegetarian, fish and meat options. We had difficulty in making our choices, but the waitress made recommendations. The food was delicious and the portions were generous and it was excellent value. "Overall a terrible experience. Our table of two was joined with another table of four with no space in between, basically cramming as many tables in as they can leaving you with no privacy and practically sitting on each others laps. The menu on their website the opentable menu is not the same as the one given in the restaurant the prices are almost double (dish I ordered was listed as £5.50 but was £9.95 in the restaurant I would not be surprised if they had a second menu with higher prices to scam those without a deal) Food was very average I ordered a side dish and my friend ordered a main dish both were the same size. But my friend was charged the price for a main but the waiter seemed to think despite it being half the size of a main, that it was indeed a main course. We had to ask to have this sorted out on the bill which was fine as they corrected the price, however the rest of the bill did not add up to the total. The waiter didn 't even bother giving us an explanation as to why this was he clearly got irritated that we questioned the bill and demanded that we could only pay with one card for the table I said we wanted to pay separately and was completely dismissed and told 'one card per table only, you 'll have to pay each other back '. Very rude. If you don 't book online, other diners seem to be offered some sort of discounts on the door (we could hear this as we were basically sitting on top of each other with other tables) Would not recommend. Much better options on brick lane with better service."

"Ordered two fish and chips by phone. One for me, one for my brother...OH MY GOD! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I very rarely finish the chips, they're usually cold and taste awful but these ones were fantastic and I can't believe I ate them all. Will definitely be going back here.
