"The lunch menu at this restaurant is fantastic, set in a beautiful environment with views of the bay peeking through the trees. The food was incredibly delicious, with a creamy and rich risotto and the most amazing homemade sticky toffee pudding. I highly recommend this place, it's definitely worth a visit."

"We have been promising ourselves to return to Clare House for dinner since we had afternoon tea there earlier in the year. We enjoyed the restaurant when we had lunch there last year and couldn't wait to try their dinner service. We were certainly not disappointed! Before we talk about the excellent food and service It should be noted that they are incredibly fastidious with Covid safety. There are hand sanitisers both outside the main door and at the entrance to each room. The staff all wear masks and the tables have been carefully placed to meet the social distancing rules. We were served drinks and nibbles in the lounge whilst we choose from the menus. In the end, although it was a difficult choice, the starters we chose were the parsnip soup and the mackerel. For our main courses two of us went for the beef whilst the other went for the hake. For pudding it was Crumble and Ice-cream for two and Dark Chocolate Tart for the other. All wonderfully presented and flavoursome. With coffees served in another lounge in front of a roaring fire it really couldn't not have been improved upon. Always a delight to visit Clare House whether it be lunch, afternoon tea or dinner you can't fail but to be impressed by their excellent food and first class service!"
