"This is about the 4th time I have been here and every time it exceeds my expectations. The staff are friendly but not intrusive, they are knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve. The food is superb the chefs are fantastic. My only concern with my review is that if other people read it I may have to book earlier than last time to get it. : Even my Italian friend says that its the only Italian Restaurant he'll go to in London I think that sums it up perfectly."

"I have eaten in Sale e Pepe before and really enjoyed it. I needed to eat quickly and popped in to see if they had a table for 1. They did and I ordered spaghetti Carbonara and a large whiskey and coke. They brought some bread. I asked for butter. I didn’t get it. The spaghetti arrived quickly and it looked strange. It was like a solid lump of pasta. Very sticky and gluey. I ate a few mouthfuls but couldn’t eat anymore. I told the waiter and he brought the maitre de over. He asked if I wanted something else but as I was in a hurry I declined. I asked for the bill. He had taken the pasta of but it was still £21. So I had virtually nothing to eat and charged £17 for a whiskey. Given the situation I would have expected him to say ‘no charge’ This is a very reputable restaurant but I was very disappointed and hungry."
