"I used to eat here when it was known under a different name and the new decor is very different, think modern, high class boutique hotel rather than they previous romanticfading nightclub theme.They are accepting very few covers so it was not at all busy but this also meant very few staff so it was occasionally hard to catch the eye of a waiter. The food overall was good and my vegetarian friend was particulalry pleased that they didn't take the usual 'v' option cop outs. I had a passable but not brilliant Chicken roulade which was slightly overcooked but slipped down well with an excellent Riesling. My main course was panfried Salmon and was on a completely different level perfectly prepared and delicious. Portion sizes were reminiscent of nouvell cuisine however and at per head for a set two course lunch its not the sort of place you're going to nip to for a spot of lunch on a regular basis unless you enjoy poor value. The wine list had some good depth and prices weren't terrible but it was clear to see where the profit lies. I understand they are offering cream teas in later afternoon and I'll probably give them another opportunity to empty my wallet as overall it was a very pleasant experience if you are looking for a chance to chat and drink rather than setup for a night on the town"

"This is a fantastic spot for tasty pizzas. We walked in and placed our order, and our food was ready in just 10 minutes. The lovely thin crust pizzas are reminiscent of Neapolitan style pizzas. Highly recommended and a great value too at just 5 GBP for a margherita pizza."

Every dish was packed with flavor and prepared with great attention to detail. The wine selection was vast and reasonably priced, and the float coffee and handmade biscuits were excellent additions."

"What a nasty little man who works there, not content with being challenged for driving across the pavement in front of me and a woman pushing a buggy, he started revving his engine aggressively to get us to move out of his (incredibly entitled) way. After the challenge he was more than willing to propose violence to further escalate the situation. What a nasty little man, no sense of community except what's in it for him. I'll certainly not be eating at this place ever again."
"We have bought a few pizzas during lockdown from Amici Mei and they have been nice. Today we ordered 4 pizzas for a birthday lunch and 2 were very burnt and 2 were just about alright to eat if you ate round half the black crust. As the kids were hungry we kept the 2 edible ones and called the shop about the other 2. The guy said to bring them in, which we did hunting for a parking space etc. When my partner got in, the chef said the Napoli was undercooked it was black on top! and margherita was ok it was also burnt on top ! Despite my having called them in advance, driven 5 mins down the road and hunted for parking, no joy. Really disappointing as we had had a few good pizzas but 4 burnt ones make for poor odds of always getting an edible pizza. Very rude and dismissive chef. Luckily soon the other better pizzerias will be open soon. I would say give your money to someone who gives a ...."

"I absolutely adore this restaurant! The food is outstanding, particularly the Arancini starters which were the best I've ever had. The main course of salmon in a creamy white wine sauce with prawns was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch. My only criticism was the wine. The montipulciano I ordered was disappointing and tasted a bit off. However, this won't deter me from returning to this restaurant frequently."
