"When I booked this meal earlier in the week I was told the website was incorrect in that it indicated the Tea Time Special' was only available between and In fact I was told it is available all the time as an alternative...to the Main Menu. In the event we booked for and on arrival we found the venue was really busy with people of all ages present having meals. We were quickly shown to a table for the three of us and offered drinks whilst perusing a paper menu each that consisted of the Lunch and Tea Time Specials' on one side and the Main Menu' on the reverse. The youngest member of our party stuck with the tea time special and chose homemade roasted vegetable soup, homemade chicken curry followed by chocolate fudge cake. We chose the main menu and my other half opted for garlic mushrooms followed by a sirloin steak with an additional sauce. I also opted for the garlic mushrooms followed by a mushroom stroganoff and sticky toffee pudding. The two older members of the group washed this down with a Russian coffee which was very nice on a very cold evening. The surroundings are very pleasant and as we were seated near to the kitchen area can vouch for the fact that the staff who without exception all wore facemasks at all times were both very busy but pleasant with the customers at the same time. I would not regard our meals as fancy but just good home made food as witnessed by the empty plates and full tummies. Personally for what we three had I thought it was reasonably priced as well. If you are looking for home made favourites this is the place to visit."

"The menu required some careful consideration, so we took our time to order while catching up, enjoying some delicious flatbread and dips in the meantime. We shared starters of sucuk and halloumi and chicken liver, which were modestly sized but packed with flavor. The hummus paired with the flatbread was exactly what you'd expect, and we were all eagerly anticipating our mains. Being a Turkish restaurant, it would be only fitting to try a kebab—though that may be a bit predictable. I opted for lamb shish, while my friends chose chicken shish and falafel for their mains. The dish arrived on a sliver of pitta alongside rice and salad, and it was utterly delicious. The lamb was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by great company. We all shared the same sentiment—none of us felt bloated, thirsty, or overwhelmed by spices, though there was a hint of garlic. Prices were moderately high, but we felt it was worth it for the thoroughly enjoyable food, which was far superior to any posh takeaway you might expect. I will definitely return with my partner, and I'm sure we'll love the food just as much as I did on my first visit. If you're on the fence about it, I wholeheartedly recommend The Mezze. Just to add, my friends and I have a combined age of 138, so there was no shortage of conversation! Vegetarian options: I didn't check the menu myself, but one of our group is vegetarian and had no trouble finding something to eat. Parking: The Regis Centre car park is very close and was nearly empty during dinner time."
