"I think that this is what I'd call a novelty restaurant. The idea is a bit of fun, but somehow feels not quite right when you have finished. So, our first visit on Sunday and booked for 16:00. No one to greet us, but there was a huge party near the bar. I got the attention of one of the waiting staff who found the person to look up our booking and take us to our table. The help yourself buffet was plentiful and varied. The danger is that you fill up on this too early. You can read about the process on their site without me going into detail. There was an early attempt to offer meat, but this was declined as our plates were full from the buffet. Chicken wings brought to the table first things we had, and these were very tasty, but bit too much salt, for my liking, but still good. Salt did seems to be in high presence with the meats we tried. The next was beef.... It was so tough I couldn't chew. A rump beef was brought to the table, again not the easiest to chew. A chicken breast, which succulent. Lamb chops, tender and succulent. Something else was brought, and the table disagreed whether it was beef or lamb... My wife really struggle eating the meat, especially rare beef, she likes things well done. We only went to the buffet are the once. It was only later that having had the sweets that we realised other tables were getting ham, and we never saw the sausage option. I felt quite stuffed though. I think you need to be more selective with the meats, and if we go again, then perhaps more aware. An automatic 10% service charge is applied to the bill. I don't like this practice, but my wife was paying so up to her really. I like to leave cash, and hope it goes into the waiter's pocket. As I didn't check the bill further, it was only when we got home that we realised that they hacn't charged for the sweets. These are £5 each. So the bill was as follows: 3 x Sunday BBQ £65.70 1 x Sunday Child BBQ £11.90 1 Pinot Grigio Guillia £28.00 (I thought a tad expensive) 3 x Coke £9.90 (Again, a bit expensive) Total £115.50 Service Charge 10% £11.55 Final Total £127.05 I presume the drinks are expensive to cover the business rates for where they are.... I found all of the staff to be very helpful and cheerful. It wouldn't be my first choice to visit again, but it is a different experience."
