"We have been to the Tavern about 4 or 5 times over the past 3 years. The food is very good and the service is always good. Today we went just for a drink and it's a very welcoming place. The staff are very chatty. Worth trying for anyone who hasn't been before I went at the weekend for lunch. We both has the steak tartare for starter. Then I had the massive rack of ribs for main and my girlfriend had the lamb shank. We finished it off with a slice of cheese cake between us. Very good service and the food was very nice. We also had a nice bottle of Malbec and they serve Deya there which is a great pint."

"Good food, great atmosphere etc but yet again let down by poor service hard work to get drinks and no desert menu offered, staff perhaps disappeared upstairs to listen to the music. Shame they added whopping service charge to the bill!"
