"Lovely roof terrace with heaters and blankets. Comfortable seats and attentive service. However, food was mixed. Crab cakes mostly potato and lacked flavour. Also cooked in a tempura so had a sweet flavour which didn’t work. Mushy peas too sweet. Fried fish was bland. Don’t think chips were actually triple cooked. On a positive burrata and artichoke were nice and chicken dish tasty."

"Despite requesting gluten free and advising of 2 gluten intolerances on our table, we were given wheat! We ordered a GF cheese platter and discovered after consumption that the bread triangles and crackers were full of wheat. There was no apology, this wasn’t handled well at all. They removed the price of the cheeseboard from our bill which is frankly the least they should have done but we were so shocked and disappointed this happened. The server said at it was an intolerance and not an allergy he thought it didn’t matter. And didn’t think it was worth mentioning that it wasn’t gluten free despite that being what we ordered. This could have been a really nice experience. Also expensive."

"A few days in Cheltenham found us visiting The Daffodil restaurant which had previously been highly recommended to us. The Daffodil is set down a side street just off Montpellier Gardens and away from the hustle and bustle of the main area and it proved we were quite fortunate to get a booking given the popularity of this place. A very smart venue with an ‘Art Deco’ feel which certainly makes this restaurant feel quite different to many other places we have dined at of late. An excellent menu and first class service makes this a place that anyone visiting Cheltenham must pay a visit. Without doubt, we would certainly head back to The Daffodil should we return to the Town. Don’t miss out."
