"I went to this restaurant after the theater and found the staff and atmosphere to be very pleasant. The soundtrack was good and added to the ambiance. The menu was appealing with a wide selection of dishes to choose from. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. The desserts were fabulous with a good variety to choose from. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided quick and polite service. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the West End!"

"Italian opera. scallops die for deep fried courgettes to dream and more. they transport themselves to their fantasy italien. excellent eating and extensive wine list, wonderful service and Italian ambiente. Opera, which smiles you out to weep you especially on a Saturday night and when we got a few partying people up to dance at all! magnifico! fantastic. "Food was good (as usual) but service slow. This may have been as a result of the restaurant being busy (due to warm weather), having to serve a number of tables outside and not having enough staff to manage all the tables. This was compounded by having to remind staff a couple of times to bring some items we had ordered. It was a hot evening and it was too hot inside despite asking for A/C to be turned up and then door to left open. Outside tables can't be booked and are on a first come basis (we tried to book one in advance) and there were a number of poeople waiting for one when we arrived at 19:20 for a 19:30 booking. Still one of our favourites for a spur of the minute/casual dinner with family or friends."

"This is the worst experience I have ever had. I really wish I could get my money back. It was very loud, disorganized and terrible overall. The waiters didn't know which tables belonged to them. The people there were incredibly loud, enough to visibly disturb everyone else, and nobody did anything about it. The food was badly seasoned and cooked. The portions were tiny. Never come here, never. It is a terrible hotel restaurant."

"After I saw pictures on the sotto Facebook page of eating, I tried it. I had annoyed my partner for months. so on Saturday night we and another couple thought we would go for tee before we had a cocktail night in the city. the service was quite disappointing, it was quite busy, but not pushed by the feet and there were several workers on to 5/6 I think. our drinks lasted long until we were finished, and when we finished them, tried to draw the waiter attention to another drink, was a chorus. Several employees went past the table and didn't think to take our glasses and the wine glasses on the table, so it just looked creepy. our food took very long until we had come; with two other tables that came after us, we were served! what we had to have been to a man who had to have been the shift manager, and he answered by apologising and that he had to work with "an old staff today at night". one of the waitresses was a young girl who just stood around and didn't do much and we had to ask her to take away our glasses. we were almost finished with our second amount of drinks when our food finally came. the presentation was beautiful, unfortunately my carbonara wayy had to garlic in so that I could not eat everything. my partner had a pizza that was absolutely amazing, but the basic was quite soggy, I guess because fresh tomats are used in the sauce that is understandable. the bill was not too bad and we had another round drinks instead of pudding. the whole evening was good, drinks were also tasty and cheap, as cocktails go, but the service was disappointing and the eating was subduing. I will probably not rush back soon"

"The napkin on which the cola glass was placed had red wine stains, making it look like a cleaning cloth. The Altbier was clearly over 10°C. Since it should come from the cooler, I hope there is a separate cooler for food. Even when asked, there was no cold Altbier available. Before pouring myself an Altbier, I also poured the water from rinsing the beer glass into the water glass. The draft beer was then cold and tasty as it should be. Whether waiting 30 minutes for the appetizer is too much is debatable. There were also a few minor issues that would not have been noticed without affecting the overall impression. The food was very good. The espresso was also excellent, as it came to the table hot due to the well-heated cup, which is unfortunately rare."

"Put simply, Giorgio 's not only had the best tasting food during my and my boyfriend 's short stay in Manchester, but were also by far and away the most accommodating and friendly! When we walked in it was clearly extremely busy, yet the front of house staff quickly ushered us over to a small table in the back corner where we were asked to look at the menu while they cleared a more suitable dining space for us, which occurred mere minutes later. The food was phenomenal. Now granted, neither of us have tried authentic Italian before, however we 're pretty sure it 's about as good as it gets! If you 're concerned about the price (as we were, this was very much a treat for us), then the Pre-Theater menu is definitely one to consider, and was in fact where we ordered from. The complimentary garlic bread served before our starters was so good it has now ruined garlic bread for us, as we know we shan 't be having anything that good for a while now, and both of our starters and mains were absolutely to die for. The portion sizes were more than generous too, resorting to us having to ask for the rest of our meal to be put into 'to go ' containers! To the staff at Giorgio 's, (I wish I was better at remembering names! My apologies) thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience. Should we ever find ourselves in Manchester again you can bet we 'll be planning our trip around a second visit!"

"I highly recommend trying the marinara and pomodoro focaccia, garlic fries, minestrone soup, spaghetti aglio e olio, spaghetti with green vegetables, and penne arrabbiata at this restaurant. The food is delicious, and you can get most items for only 5.95 (or less for soup and focaccia) when you take advantage of their Monday-Friday Presto menu. I frequent this restaurant often because I have worked here for a year and even come on my days off sometimes!"
