"The welcome was warm and our pre-request for a quieter table had accommodated. Unfortunately our wait between starter and main course was not acceptable (nearly 30 mins). We were told as our starter plates were being cleared that mains would be right along. Nobody let us know differently and I had to track down a server to ask what was going on. They were really busy, but it was a Saturday so I’m sure that’s not unusual. No apology or deduction from the bill. I would go back as long I don’t have other plans, and not with elderly parents who can’t do such a long lunch."

"The pub setting is very nice. We were seated comfortably. The fish and chips arrived very quickly after ordering. The batter looked very light in colour however, it was crisp and cooked. The taste was disappointing. The curry sauce accompanying was tasteless. Other dishes might have been a better choice."
