"Was told at the door no mash, which was fine. But was served by a guy that seemed almost in his own world was struggling to cut the meat asked for roast potatoes but they tasted and looked like jacket potatoes. No apple sauce. The staff were stood gossiping and whinging about the manager wanting to add some more tables back in the restaurant. No where near as good as last time we came only a couple of weeks before and I don't think I will be returning anytime. Oh and the female waitress seemed like she was in a bad mood and couldn't be arsed"

"this place is very tired, tables, chairs and decor very dated. even the Christmas decorations were dated. eating was absolutely terrible, dry roast beef, bucks without cracks, as indicated on the menu. the vegetables were dry, overcooked and tasteless. toby's famous heavy, disgusting."

"immersed for a quick bite to eat before a long trip to home. service was very fast and the waitresses were very friendly. the gammon served from the carvery was delicious and I had one of the best yorkshire puddings ever! I am a really fussy eater so these compliments do not come very often. a reasonable selection of veg in the offer and 4 selection of potato options. lots of parking, clean spaces and many seating areas. we look forward to the return."
