"My family of five dined at Kouzu while on vacation. Each of us felt a very strange vibe at Kouzu. We were seated in a corner of the first level by a woman who then took our drink orders. There was only one or two other tables filled. My son ordered a sodaâa coke. She said they didnât serve any soda in the restaurant. Really? So he instead ordered a water. She proceeded to bring a large bottle of water that she opened in front of us. I asked what it wasâthat he wanted just a tap water in place of the soda they didnât carry. The server then left the table. Another gentlemen came around and sort of took over. I asked him why they didnât carry any other drinks except waterâhe said oh we have lemonade coke, Diet Coke etc. The next strange thing was the menu. They gave us ample time with the menu and when they came to take our order I asked what a certain thing wasâhe said oh thatâs a priz five menu thatâs different! This menu has never been passed out to us. This was a sushi restaurant and what is niceâand needed quite honestlyâis a rundown of each item as itâs placed on the table, as the majority of us ordered a la carte. This didnât happen. I will say the food itself was delicious, however, the strange vibe we got coupled with the sizable price tag would deter me from patronizing this restaurant again if given the chance."

"We had a fantastic dining experience here! The food was excellent, with thoughtful and polished presentation. The cocktails and tea were also delightful, and the desserts were top-notch. Our waiter truly enhanced our experience; he was attentive to detail and anticipated our needs without us having to ask. His passion for the food and drinks made our interactions enjoyable. However, the two ladies at the entrance didn't seem quite as attentive. One of them asked about our dessert order but wasn't clear on the sorbet flavors. Additionally, when we were leaving, we had several bags to carry, and the lady at the door didn't even open it for us. Overall, it was a wonderful meal, but a little more attention from the staff at the door would have made it perfect."

"Sushimo is a fantastic little sushi restaurant in Wood Green/Turnpike Lane with good quality food and decent service. I has previously been ordering takeaway during lockdown and wanted to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. The sushi rolls (maki, inside out rolls and signature rolls) all have good ratios of filling to rice and the fish tastes fresh and ofna high grade. Sashimi is also of a substantial cut and relatively good value with a wide selection available. The accompaniments such as takoyaki, friend tentacles, miso aubergine and tempura are all well done as well. There wasn't a dish I could fault on either of the two visits I made. The premises is clean and tables are spaced sufficiently during this pandemic. Guests are asked to sign in on arrival and provide track and trace details and hand sanitiser is provided. A really good restaurant and good value for sushi in North London."

"The food was great as well as the environment. Most of the staffs were really great and served us well. Everything was nice before one of the staffs, his name is Asif, who came over to put us in a really bad costumer experience. We reserved the table at 6:00 p.m for 2. We knew that we need to finish in 2 hours, which should be 8:00p.m. Asif came over to our table at 7:00 p.m to ask us finish everything in 30mins because we just arrived 10mins earlier than our booking time. That was really unpleasant. I mean if he can do the math well, even we arrived 10 mins earlier, we were not expecting to finish at 7:30p.m. Moreover after we already paid the bill at 7:45p.m and prepared to go, he came over to our table again to ask us to leave the table. This attitude was really not acceptable. I could not feel anything but offended. I love the food and other staffs, everything was fantastic. But this guy really destroy your restaurant’s reputation."

"Years since I've been but still very much the same. Usually have a bento box but opted for the lunchtime £20 3 course. Good tempura, excellent beef in a teriyaki, nice ice cream good black cod. Soft shell crab sushi still very good. Nice service good to see they maintained quality after all these years."

"I visited taberu a few days after they first opened to try their vegetable gyoza (£3.80) and salmon skin roll (£5). The restaurant didn't seem fully operational yet, with empty refrigerators and tables, a closed door, and a flickering light deterring some potential customers. However, I was happy to find that they were indeed open and serving delicious food! The gyoza was sweet and the salmon skin in the roll was crispy and flavorful. Overall, the food was excellent despite the initial appearance of the restaurant."
"Went here with a good friend, looking forward to a post New Years meal. The food was good but the waitress took about 20 attempts to bring us ginger for our sushi, the black miso cod was tiny and in my opinion not worth £22 soggy and not crispy with little sauce . The sushi was good. The waitress got our order wrong and brought items we didn't order, but most of the food was really good Spider Roll and Shrimp Tempura roll even the edamame was stingy however a portion of about 15 small pods. As I wasn't drinking driving I asked if they had any non alcoholic beer or wine they don't I asked if I could drink a non alcoholic wine that I brought and they wanted to charge me £7 corkage, which I think is a bit steep given the wine was £3 non alcoholic so I offered to buy a normal drink and given we were spending quite a bit of money £120 for 2 people I thought they would take a view... nope. Needless to say my friend and I both agreed we would never recommend and never return, some food was good, much was average, waitstaff and management were frankly rude, and no options for non drinkers aside from soda or water which you might have to ask the waitress 5 6 times for . Not worth it."

"We had a stop over in brentford during our holiday. Had a crave for sushi and tried this place. So googled up some places and finally settled with this one. We called there and placed order. The delivery service was great tbh and so was the food. Its suprising to see how close they are to the originality of the food. The food didnt have those additions like mayo etc except for some . The sushi were great tasting and fresh. Katsu and teriyaki were equally amaging. I will definately order again if i am nearby. Great work people."
"If you don’t want to wait outside in the chilling wind with an empty stomach and with no one attend to you, then avoid this restaurant. After dining at this restaurant today, I can say that all the negative reviews are true. The food is average yet extremely overpriced (you can definitely get much better food at this price). Can you imagine a main dish without rice? Well, here they charge a small bowl of rice for 4 pounds! Service is surprisingly horrible. My friends and I asked them if there were any table available and the woman at the reception told us to just wait 10 minutes outside and would offer us a table as soon as there was one empty. We agreed and sat outside. 10 minutes later, she came out and told us that we did not have a reservation and they would accommodate other guests first. We thought that’s fine, so agreed to dine outside. Then the male waiter got our order wrong, and we sat at the table outside with chilly night wind for another 20 minutes before we were greeted with only one main dish and two side dishes. We ordered 4 main chicken teriyaki, yet only one was served, and without rice! Even though we did order sushi rice! When we realized things were not quite right, it had already been 40 minutes! We had to went inside and complained to the chef, but he was irresponsive. We complained to the waiter, they just kept saying they were sorry (they should feel sorry) without doing anything practical to get our meal ready. It is literally the most ridiculous meal I have ever had in London. My friends and I had to eat a whole pack of Oreo because we were starving and frozen. We should have just walked away, after all no staff cared about and attended to us. Finally, after one hour waiting, we were finally able to sit inside and served with food. But how can we happily eat our food with everything that’s happened? It was supposed to be a happy night out and gathering but it was ruined. They kept saying sorry, but it is pointless. The chef gave us 10% discount in the end as an apology, but it can hardly compensate for our loss. The restaurant is poorly managed and organized. Would never visit there again."

"My first time here, absolutely brill! When arriving, the staff were super friendly and booked to have the set menu. Please visit their website for more details. It's a short walk from Dalston Junction and in the hustle and bustle of this area. I recommend booking a table at 8 pm as you can have the whole eve in there. They have DJs playing records and such a great vibe and mix, and you can see they love it and know thief stuff. When eating, you can see the chefs cooking, which I feel is always a nice touch. The food was super fresh, and the cocktails and drinks list were also reasonably priced. A great vibe overall, and I will be back again. A solid A LDT x"

"The service was awesome. The meal was served quickly. The other restaurant goers were also friendly and the atmosphere was genuine and family orientated. After explaining we were vegan we were given different options. We were offered vegan curries. The food was as good as you get in other more upmarket Indian/Bangladeshi restaurants. The roti was fresh and served hot it tasted really fresh. The rice was well cooked and fragrant. The service was quite balanced and the meal reasonably priced. If you are looking for a clean no frills cafe to eat good wholesome Bangladeshi food then Mithai Mahal is perfect for your needs."

"Driving around the area to find a place to eat with the family and found this amazing restaurant, we were amazed with the service provided as we didn’t book and it was pretty busy, they still managed to find us a table. The owner and his staff were so lovely, and kind, great atmosphere! Now let’s talk about the food, oh WOW! absolutely delicious! Will definitely be back. Kid-friendliness: As family with 3 children, 12 10 and 6 years old, we were very well served, the staff was friendly and kind."

"It only just occurred to me that I've never left a review here for our absolute favorite sushi restaurant in the Springs. I can't say enough good things about them. First, the sushi is so fresh, and the portions are generous. I've never found another restaurant (not just in the Springs, but anywhere I've traveled where such thick, skillfully sliced filets of fish topped a minimal portion of rice on their nori selections. I brought co workers from my company's home office in Melbourne, FL, and they said it was the best sushi they've ever eaten. Did you catch that?? They're from a coastal city in FLORIDA!! It was a great endorsement for AI. As for the staff, they're wonderful. And extremely hard working. It's a family business, and there are times when you'll find all the family members working. As regulars, we're often greeted with a hug. : COVID has affected all restaurant businesses in many ways. Any comments I've read here, short of praising the restaurant, don't seem to take that into account. As any restaurant owner or manager in this city (or, country, for that matter , will tell you, they either can't find anyone to work, or can't keep anyone. It's ridiculous. Recently, the owner of another Asian establishment here in town asked me if I knew anyone who'd be interested in a cashier job. He was paying $20 an hour, and couldn't find anyone to take it!! That's what the restaurant industry is facing these days. Anyway, if you love sushi, and you haven't already been to AI on Centennial (not to be mistaken for AI on Powers, which is owned and operated by different people , you need to give them a try. You'll discover great food and friendly people. And, you'll be a customer for life!"
