"Excellent food and for a very reasonable price we had the tasting menu and were very happy with our dishes. The atmosphere was nice; busy but not so loud we couldn't hear ourselves. Service was excellent except for one mix up, but the situation was dealt with very well by the staff. We'll definitely come back!"

"Two of our guests pumpkin main was not cooked. The pizza was tough so not eaten. They were being polite and said nothing until we left. It was very disappointing as we wanted to show our guest local place was special. Hopefully better next time."

"thank you for your reply… in fact the dog poo was there for 2 hours after i raised the issue. customers stood in it and had to go home to change their shoes…. you miraculously ‘disappeared’ when we wanted to talk to you and you left it with very junior staff…you did not move your car!…. but we will return as its a nice pub and maybe this was just an unfortunate error on your part… i think you should have come to discuss it yourself and apologise to us and the other customers who were also very unhappy"

"According to my Russian-Finnish wife, this restaurant is as authentic as it gets when it comes to Russian cuisine. I trust her judgement, and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb dumplings and salad. The food had a wonderful contrast of flavors, combining richness from ingredients like sour cream, fats, and fish eggs with a hint of acidity. The dessert of honey cake and cottage cheese pancake was also a delightful end to the meal. Overall, this restaurant provided a great representation of Russian food, and I look forward to learning more about it in the future."

"London Road Restaurant Wine BarF, Alderley Edge, Cheshire. 22 July From start to finish, a really good experience. All the staff were exceptionally good and the lady who took our order had taken into account my food problems. Had the best ham hock salad ever. Marco, the Manager, was brilliant he hit just the right note of customer service with friendliness and humour. Will definitely be back I think the best eatery in Alderley Edge (and there is a lot of choice)."

"we love the kitchen and have been regular visitors for a long time. this was our place of choice to enjoy a mid festive season brunch. we chose both agitation in sourdough. the touch was deliciously smooth and creamy. my toast was burned at the edges and, although I asked for the speck to be done well, I had not expected that 2 small pieces I could hardly cut or chew for an additional £4.50 my man ordered extra toast, butter and jam. there was no jam that was disappointed. we were recommended to apply for marmelade next time in booking. the coffee and the tee were great, the ambiente, which, despite the rain, always greeted with the usual stunning landscape view. service is always attentive."

"Such a shame. Unfortunately the service was extremely slow. Waited 35 minutes for our coffees and only 3 turned up out of the 4. When you are paying £100 for 4 breakfasts I’m afraid it should be perfect. They definitely needed more staff on duty. You cannot use the excuse “everyone has turned up at once”. They must know how many people have made reservations."

"I love this restaurant but I was disappointed in the food when I had dinner there earlier in the week. This could only be down to the fact that the main chef was on holiday though I have found it to be a bit hit and miss in the past. They are changing their name to 43 but it is still owned and managed by the same people. But I will be going back as it has become a treasured local mainly because of their wonderful waiter, Jose."
