"Booked a table for 8 people, turned up bang on time and we were ordered to wait outside. As it was a joint birthday and leaving do for 2 of us, we had some extra guests. When 2 extra turned up and we only had 1 spare seat the manager, without informing me, told them that one of them would have to leave. I spoke to the manager when I found out, and she was clearly ready to die in a ditch over us not being able to seat any more people. I was left mortified, having to turn friends away, despite there being empty tables around us, and 2 empty seats on the table next door. It would have been easy to accommodate us, but instead I was left apologising to guests and telling them they had to leave. We only stayed because we had already ordered food, but to add insult to injury they had burned our order, and we had to completely reorder 30 minutes later. Nobody apologised for any of this, my birthday was ruined and I was left in tears in the restaurant. For anyone who hasn’t visited in a while, the food has gone downhill and they no longer serve cocktails. I could handle both of those points if we hadn’t been made to feel utterly unwelcome from the second we set foot in the door. What an extraordinary experience."
