"Without a doubt, one of my favourite restaurants in London. And because of this I’m willing to overlook the appalling service which came courtesy of a waiter who looked so depressed we were forced to ask him what was wrong, to which he informed us he had had a long day. Having worked my way up from dish washer to silver service waiter, so designing and reviewing restaurants, bars and hotels, I know it can be a gruelling job. However I also know that patrons don’t care if you have blisters when they’re shelling out over £150 per head. Service aside, the food was exemplary. The onion soup starter was just as I remembered it from my many trips to Paris, though it came out so hot that I was unable to eat it for at least 10 minutes as it cooled. The portions were generous, and our table in the farthest corner of the room gave us a wonderful view of the entire, historic space creating a wonderfully exuberant atmosphere that I was loathed to leave behind."
