"My experience at the restaurant was terrible. It was a special occasion for us, so we chose to dine at Frankie Benny's. What a mistake that was. The table next to us had drinks spilled by the waitress, and I had to clean it up with napkins as there was little attention to detail. The food was served cold and almost inedible. It was a nightmare experience."

"The food was poor. Had to send back because not cooked properly. Staff had also set up a corner of the restaurant just for them to eat. The senior staff looked like they had set up camp there. It looked a bit weird and not very professional. Our waitresses were very good though."

It seems that this online booking service relies on staff at the venue to manually input reservations, which did not happen in our case. I would not recommend using this service and would also caution against booking at Frankie and Benny's through this platform."

"First time I went to this Frankie Benny's. It was a busy night but I didn't mind. Food was amazing, came in piping hot and all came out at the same time for us four. Only reason I put 4 stars is because I wasn't a fan at how loud they play the birthday song. I understand it's what they do, I just don't do well with busy places and loud sounds. My anxiety just hates it. Like I've said I've been to other Frankie and Bennys and they've never played their music too loud where its actually got to me a bit. Luckily it doesn't last long. Honestly, if you want good food and don't mind loud spaces go here. Staff were nice too."

"Enjoyed the meal, although i personnally prefered the manhattan burger with the relish and colesaw. The double burger i had only came with chips. The door kept staying open every time someone went through and was cold all night. However service was good and enjoyed environment. A little expensive but nice food overall."

"The reservation wasn't acknowledged, so it wasn't in the system. Luckily, there was a table available, but this could have been an issue if the restaurant had been busier. The server approached us to take our order before we had even taken off our coats, yet it took over an hour for our food to arrive. After we got the bill, we also had to wait a long time to settle the payment."

"Took two hours to get us out food which was understandable given how busy they were but it was busy because of takeaway orders, what's the point in going out if you get faster service to your door. When my pizza came it was wet raw and when asked to put it back in they said it was because there was mushrooms... Also what the heck kind of stupid system is it where the person who pays the deposit doesn't get it back, will not be returning, would not recommend, felt robbed at the end."

"A lovely setting at the Fish Hotel. The drive from Fish Hill is an adventure in itself. Set lunch was very good value and beautifully prepared and served. Can't fault it for my daughter's birthday. Wine list is short but very good. All in all a very interesting place. We have eaten at the Dormy House sister hotel on occasions and it is equally good. Will be going back before Christmas."

"do you want to feel demolished? eat here! we paid a lot of money for a meal for two, but the absolute kicker was this “key starter”, which for five of the smallest pieces of fried fish they have ever seen. a piece kalamari!. introduce yourself to be served in a restaurant. I raised the question and this is obviously the correct portion size. I think it's totally unreliable to calculate so much. the fish was good, but nothing spectacular. I guess if they are gluten-free, they seem to have a lot of options, but be willing to pay for it. make them please and take a takeaway from Ken’s fish bar on half moon lane. there is a reason why it is rated much higher."

"I have eaten here at two earlier places where it was very busy, but it was worth eating. on this occasion I booked a table for 4 o'clock on Sunday to make sure that we had a table for my man's birthday as we traveled from the east midlands. at the arrival there was a table that was clearly reserved for us with 4 o'clock and we ordered a drink early. after deciding what to eat, we were advised that the kitchen was not open until 17 o'clock! as we had a 2 hours drive to the house, we could not wait until then and had to be extremely disappointed. at no time has been pointed out either on the opentable or FFC website that food is not served until after 17 o'clock. we had traveled specifically for a birthday contract that went to end what was a big day. Please make sure that a restaurant is not open at the desired booking time, it is clearly stated that eating is not served."
