"We went for lunch today while in the area. The pub is located in a charming village and looked very nice from the outside. We were seated promptly, but had to wait a bit for our orders to be taken. The lunch menu was quite limited, and the waitress informed us that some items were not available. Disappointingly, we ended up ordering the gammon with egg and chips, which arrived after a 15-minute wait. Although we finished our meal, the chips resembled those from McDonald's and the gammon was overly salty – it was almost too much to handle. Along with 3 pints of coke/ale, the bill came to £39. The service was a bit slow, possibly due to a wedding taking place with many people in the bar area. Overall, we don't plan on returning unless the menu becomes more varied. Visited on 2nd September 2023."
