"Every year, the first Christmas card of the season arrives early in December from Monsoon. It comes with a discount for a meal costing over £30. However, every year we struggle to spend enough to make use of the discount. Many things, including restaurant prices, have changed since covid, so we are hopeful for next year. One reason for the lower prices at Monsoon is that they do not have a liquor license. Fortunately, there is a beer and wine option available just two doors down. Despite the lack of alcohol, Monsoon has everything else you could want, and the dishes are tasty and plentiful. The waitstaff are happy to provide excellent suggestions from the extensive menu. The atmosphere in the cozy dining area is laid-back and inviting. The staff are efficient, and dishes arrive promptly while you watch the take-out orders leaving the kitchen. On our visit, we shared a meat and a vegetable dish, cucumber raita, rice, naan bread, and poppadoms. Our bill came to £33, but unfortunately, the discount had expired long ago."
